The Egyptian ministry of culture has decided to organize an exhibition of Omar Sharif's legacy at the annual Expo (Universal Exposition) exhibition held this year in Milano from May 1 to October 31.
The exhibition will take place at the Egyptian pavilion, and will feature glimpses from Sharif's most important artistic phases that sculpted his name in cinema's history, including movie stills and rare photographs. The exhibition will commence upon Prime Minister Ibrahim Mehleb's arrival to Italy
Minister of Culture Abdel Wahed Elnabawy has stated that the exhibition is an Egyptian attempt at cherishing its late actor and international star, and is part of a series of events occurring this year that are all related to Sharif, including an upcoming celebration at the Egyptian Arts Academy in Rome.
