Good Newwz: Akshay Kumar shoots promotional song despite injury and fever

Akshay Kumar will be next starring in Good Newwz which will be the last Hindi release of the year. Starring alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani, the film is a comedy about a major goof-up that changes the lives of both the couples.

The first song, which is a promotional one, will release soon. It's been learnt that Akshay Kumar shot the song despite suffering a back injury and running fever. He had sustained injury months ago but it got triggered during work out. Director Raj Mehta said that he had sustained injury and had running fever and they received the news a night before the song shoot. But, to their surprise, he showed up for the shoot the next day and even pulled off the choreography by Bosco Martis. The song was shot over the course of three days in Chandigarh. A huge set was erected for the song. Raj Mehta said that Akshay thought of allotting another date would have been difficult for other actors. He further said that as soon as he announced cut, he could see Akshay was in pain but was a thorough professional. He completed the shoot before the schedule. Good Newwz, produced by Dharma Productions, is set to release on December 27, 2019.
