Waheed returns from Europe after receiving a college degree. He requests permission from his father to travel to Cairo so that he could begin work at a company there. While in Cairo Waheed meets a beauty by the name of Nadia who herself appears to be in love with an old man who works at a piano sales and repair shop. He is smitten by her beauty and follows her until he finally bumps into her at a flower shop. There he begins talking to her and invites her to attend a party where he will sing. After hearing Waheed perform Nadya develops an attraction to him and the couple meet occasionally for short trips. Whilst at a party hosted at her home, Waheed proposes an engagement only to be met with ridicule. Upon learning the reason behind such a reaction he leaves for home in anger. He is pursued by one of Nadia’s servants who explains everything to him. Thus he learns that Nadia is destitute and chose to live in the home of a woman where she barters her beauty and youths for whomever is willing to pay the price. Waheed also learns that the person whom he had first assumed was Nadia’s father is in fact one of her lovers. Waheed then returns to Nadia and releases her from her prison. The couple then spend some of their happiest days between Cairo and Alexandria. Thereupon Wahid’s father arrives in Cairo in order to check up on his son and when Wahid tells him of the affair between him and Nadia he asks him to leave her behind. Wahid refuses whereby his father goes and meets Nadia to ask her to leave his son alone.
