In a village on the outskirts of Syria, at the beginning of the fifties, as numerous coup groups are formed, there is Abu Jabr, who is so cruel and dictatorial that the flour in the barn has turned black. A young man revolts against the tyrant, abandons the village, joins the army, and then returns to the village in order to confront the tyrant.
