When her father, Kamel, remarries only days after her mother's death, Abla runs away from home and heads to Cairo. Fathy lends Abla a hand and drives her to the house of Khalil, the husband of her late aunt.

As Abla admits to Khalil that she ran away from her father after his marriage, Khalil proposes to her, and her refusal forces her to go to Fathy's house. Fathy steals the golden jewelry of Abla's mother and flees.

When Abla returns to Khalil's house, she discovers that he has passed away. Mohamed returns the golden jewelry to Abla, informing her that Fathy left it for her. As Abla starts living in Spiro's house and becomes a maid at a hotel, she finally manages to locate Fathy.

As Fathy asks Spiro for Abla's hand in marriage, he sets up a deal with Soliman that makes him Soliman's partner. Abla discovers that Fathy borrowed money from her for gambling.

When Abla falls ill, Azza hosts her in her house. Soliman pulls out all the stops to get close to Abla. Spiro falls ill in the wake of Abla's disappearance.

Soliman enlists Azza's help to convince Abla to marry him. When Fathy vanishes, Abla's hope to marry him goes up in smoke, leaving her to marry Soliman. Abdullah passes away. Fathy leaves Egypt. Abla gives birth to Soliman's son.

In the wake of his marriage to the wealthy Ellen, Fathy returns to Egypt and opens a restaurant chain. Fearing that Fathy will find out about his marriage to Abla, Soliman evades Fathy. As Fathy visits Azza while Abla and Soliman are there, he finds out about their marriage.

As Azza tries to get close to Fathy, the latter asks Samy to gather information about Soliman and his business. Ellen decides to leave Fathy and return to her home country after she finds out about his relationship with Azza.

Abla is rushed to the hospital after she falls ill. When Fathy visits her, she suffers from a nervous breakdown which induces a miscarriage. Ellen enlists Sadek's help to divorce Fathy and dissolve their partnership.

When Ellen passes away without getting a divorce, Fathy inherits all her money. As Soliman and Abla go to the Gulf, Soliman starts mistreating her, and Abla discovers that he took two other women as wives. Soliman divorces Abla and sends her to Egypt without her son.

Azza marries Nagy. As Fathy tasks Mohamed with finding Abla, Mohamed finds her in Umm Ahmed's house. When Soliman threatens Abla to stay away from him and their son, she asks Fathy to help her retrieve her son.

When Umm Ahmed dies, Abla is left reeling from the loss of the last of her relatives. As Fathy enlists Azza's help to get Soliman to send the divorce papers, he asks Sadek to sue Soliman to get Abla custody of her son, Abdullah.

Behind Soliman's back, Abla wins Abdullah's custody and gets her son back once he returns to Egypt with his father. Fathy proposes to Abla.

Fathy tries to get close to Batris so that he could partner up with him. Azza discovers that Nagy is cheating on her. When Soliman suspects that Abla and Fathy are in a relationship, he threatens to win back Abdullah's custody.

When Abla opens a factory, Fathy joins her as a partner and apologizes for abandoning her in the past. As Fathy proposes to Abla again, she agrees to marry him.

Fathy and Batris agree to sell their air defense system to an Israeli company. Soliman offers Fathy a huge sum of money to walk away from his project with Batris and give Abdullah back to him.

As Fathy pressures Abla to become Batris's partner in his stead, he puts his plot with Soliman into action and helps him flee abroad with Abdullah, only to accuse Khaled of being the one who plotted with Soliman.

Nagy divorces Azza after she learns that he took another wife. To ensure that she would see Abdullah again, Abla makes a deal with Soliman instead of continuing her partnership with Merkel and Batris. Abla asks Fathy for a divorce after she discovers that he is the one who sent Abdullah to Soliman.
