King Luqman asks his son Rayhan to search for a suitable wife for him, and Princess Hanum travels with her father, King Sodom, King of the Fourth Island, to attend the annual festival held by King Luqman.

The festival ends and Luqman asks Rayhan who he wants to marry. He tells him that he wants Princess Hanum, and that he met her twice during the festival and she gave him two dinars.

Rayhan remembers meeting Hanum and trying to hide his true identity, and his decision to marry her.

Rayhan tells Luqman that he told Hanum that he was his stableman, so she declared her love to him. Luqman refuses Hanum's marriage to Rayhan so as not to make the kings of the three islands jealous, and asks him to marry the princesses of the four islands.

Rayhan travels to King Sodom and meets Hanum, who agrees to marry him along with the three princesses. So Luqman orders Dadar to go to the kings of the three islands and ask them to marry their daughters, and they all agree.

Dadar returns and tells Luqman of the approval of the kings of the four islands. The kings of the islands come to meet Luqman and agree to marry their princesses in his palace, and Rayhan marries the four princesses.

Luqman decides to travel, and meets an old woman who predicts that he would have a child, and his son would be Zafaran.

Luqman travels and leaves the kingdom to Rayhan for a year. Rayhan and Hawanim have a child named Zafaran, whom the old lady had predicted would kill the Grisly Man. Rayhan gives birth to three princesses, Zuhur, Nour, and Budur, and Luqman dies.

Rayhan becomes king of the country, and Zafaran becomes a young man. Three old men, including Shams Al Din, offer Rayhan a peacock made of gold that predicts time, and asks him to marry his daughter, Princess Nour, in exchange for the peacock.

The second old man, Badr Al Din, offers Rayhan a guardian rooster made of gold that predicts the presence of any traitor entering the city, and asks in return to marry his daughter, Zuhur.

The third old man, Najm Al Din, approaches Rayhan and present him with an ebony inanimate horse. Zafaran rides it and flies away with it. Rayhan detains the three old men and asks them about their story.

The three men were three princes, the sons of King Yasmine, and their sister, Princess Sabah, to whom the princes had come to propose. Darwish tells Sabah that she would marry an honorable prince who would kill the Grisly Man, and that the three princes would marry from outside the country.

Sabah refuses all suitors while she waits for the honorable prince. Prince Karawan, son of Bulan, King of the Kingdom of Marjan, meets King Yasmine, who tells him that Sabah is waiting for him so that the prophecy would come true.

Sabah meets Prince Karawan, who presents her with unique gifts and a dog. King Yasmine orders celebrations to be held for Karawan and Sabah's engagement.

Sabah feels that Karawan is not the dream knight she was waiting for, so Karawan tells Yasmine, who informs Sabah that she has to marry Karawan.

Sabah tries to get close to Karawan, but as soon as she approaches him, she screams and cries and asks him to stay away, so he leaves her room and the dervish appears to her.

The dervish shows the dog in its real form to Sabah, and a jinn named Kashmir appears, and tells her that Karawan is the Grisly Man and that the source of his strength is his servant, whom he calls through his ring, so he tells her to remove the ring to see his true form.

Karawan tells Sabah that her father had set the date for their wedding. He senses that she is suspicious of him, so he refuses to eat or drink with her. Sabah asks the dervish to tell her about the story of the Grisly Man.

The dervish gives Sabah a ring containing poison to threaten the Grisly Man if he tries to harm her. Karawan drinks with her and takes the ring off his hand, then he appears in his true form and kidnaps Sabah.

The three princes search for their sister Sabah, and the dervish tells them that Maimun knows where she is. After they find Maimun, he advises them to go to his sister Maimunah.

The three princes meet with Maimunah, who tells them that the knight who would kill the Grisly Man is Zafaran, the son of Rayhan, in a country three years away. She gives them the gifts that they had presented to King Rayhan, and changed their appearance into old men.

Prince Karawan appears riding a flying horse, and Hanum is deeply saddened by the loss of Zafaran. Dadar tries to interrogate the old men, but they stick to their story.

Zafaran arrives on an island where there are no people and finds Sabah locked in a golden cage. She tells him that the one holding her is the Grisly Man, a terrifying jinn. Zafaran hides when the Grisly Man appears.

The Grisly Man leaves, and Zafaran appears to Sabah and asks her to tell him her story, while Hanum asks her maid to prepare to travel in search of Zafaran.

Sabah tells her story to Zafaran and gives him the ring with the poison, so he poisons the Grisly Man's wine. Hanum and her maid go out looking for Zafaran, while Rayhan can not find her.

Sabah tells Zafaran about the Grisly Man's plot against his king, Al Ghadrif, whom he poisoned and took Suleiman’s ring from him in order to marry his daughter. His daughter saw her father and drank the poison and cursed the Grisly Man, who swore to marry a princess more beautiful than her.

Sabah tells Zafaran that the Grisly Man had killed King Al Ghadrif’s brother and his son, so Al Ghadrif’s nephew, the dervish Abu Al Yusr, went to Maimun, who made him go to meet Maimunah, who told him that the one who would eliminate the Grisly Man is the knight, Zafaran.

The Grisly Man dies and the old men become young. Zafaran returns with Sabah to the country, and King Armanos sends a message to Rayhan informing him that Hanum is staying with him.

Hanum returns to the country, and is happy to see Zafaran and Sabah, who tell her what had happened with the Grisly Man, who had asked his servant the jinn to bring the three princes to imprison them for her refusal to marry him.

The jinn tells the Grisly Man that he did not find the princes. The Grisly Man drinks the wine, and Zafaran takes Suleiman’s ring from him. Abu Al Yusr gives the sword to Zafaran, who defeats the Grisly Man and frees Sabah. Abu Al Yusr takes the Grisly Man's head to display it to the country.

The three princes marry the princesses and travel by horse to their island. The horse stops flying, so Princess Sabah stays behind to marry Zafaran in the presence of King Rayhan and Queen Hanum.
