As everyone waits for the return of Abo El-Maaty Shamroukh after 15 years of absence, his family hopes that he'll return with lots of gifts to them. But they are disappointed to see that he didn't bring any bags with him.

Looking for a way to invest in agriculture, Abo El-Maaty decides to move to another village and enlists the aid of his brother-in-law. Meanwhile, the actress Salwa Nassar is contracted for a new movie with Rashad, a first-time producer.

Abo El-Maaty purchases a piece of land from a doctor, and throws a party to celebrate. Salwa tries to move on from her failed marriages, as the producer throws her a party in her honor.

Abo El-Maaty moves with his family to his new land. When Sawlwa can't get the drug that she'd become addicted to, she asks for the filming to be postponed for a week, but the director refuses and wants her replaced with another actress.

Salwa is forced to start filming in time as she continues to suffer from withdrawal. Abo El-Maaty confronts a band of thieves trying to get them to leave the land. He divides the needed tasks between everyone present.

When Salwa grows furious with the director's arrogance, she leaves in her car, only to hit Abo El-Maaty's tractor and fall in the canal. Abo El-Maaty rescues her and takes her home with him. Meanwhile, the producer grows worried about her, so he fires the director and goes to Cairo looking for her.

Salwa wakes up but can not remember anything. Abo El-Maaty is reassured when she admits to sharing responsibility for the accident. Salwa's assistant tries to look for her and reports her missing.

Abo El-Maaty suspects that Salwa is hiding something and starts to treat her harshly. He asks his mother to find a way to get her to leave. Salway manages to impress him when she drives the tractor successfully. The police start looking for Salwa.

As bandits try to forcibly seize the land and pitch tents, Salwa runs the tents over with the tractor. Abo El-Maaty's brother-in-law tries to get close to Salwa but his wife finds out. Rashad is arrested when the movie's crew reports him for leaving them in the desert without paying them.

As the cops question Rashad, Abo El-Maaty discovers a sack filled with drugs on his land. After initially suspecting Salwa, he discovers that it belongs to the gang trying to seize the land and ambushes them. Abo El-Maaty confronts Mahran and travels to Cairo to get supplies for his land.

Abo El-Maaty's family discovers Salwa's identity. Rashad is released after he pays his crew. Abo El-Maaty tells his mother about his feelings for Salwa. Rashad tries to get Salwa's assistant to reveal her location.

Saeid tries to frame Atiat for killing Salwa. The cops go to Abo El-Maaty's land to get Salwa.

Salwa refuses to continue filming her movie, but eventually complies because of the penal clause. Abo El-Maaty follows news about Salwa. He gets in a fight with Ahmed and decides to dissolve their partnership.

Salwa starts shooting her movie under the guidance of a furious director. Rashad is annoyed that he wasn't there for the filming of a sexy scene. Abo El-Maaty remains dejected over Salwa's departure. He goes to Cairo ostensibly to look into getting a greenhouse.

Abo El-Maaty waits for Salwa who is thrilled to see him. A jealous Rashad fires Saeid and decides to discontinue the movie. Salwa travels with Abo El-Maaty who confesses his love, but she tells him that it's more complicated than that. They vow to stay connected.
