A young man and a girl fall in love, but the young man's financial situation makes the girl's father stand in the way of their relationship eventually ending in marriage. Their determination to be married prompts the girl's father to impose several unreasonable demands while pretending to agree because he believes they'll get bored, which will spoil the marriage.
