Khalil agrees to hire Samar, but despite her financial troubles, she hesitates to accept the job. Samar's personal life is a living hell due to the mistreatment of her unemployed husband, Ghattas, who beats her due to his jealousy of his neighbor Halim.

Ghattas's mother suspects that Samar is having an affair with Halim. As Khalil tries to rape Samar, Rozy stands up to him, leading him to kick her and Samar out. The police look for Samar after Khalil files a complaint against her. Khalil forces Rozy to testify against Samar.

Samar is arrested after Khalil accuses her of robbing him after sleeping with him. Samar is shocked when Rozy testifies against her. The police find dollars in Ghattas's house. Samar hires the lawyer, Abdel Ahad, and his son Kamal to defend her.

Samar sues Ghattas and his mother, much to the fury of her brother Fawzy. The fortune-teller testifies in Samar's favor. Kamal tries to figure out a way to prove that Samar has nothing to do with the money that was found in Ghattas's house. Rozy and Khalil plot to get Samar in trouble.

After Rozy lays a trap, Kamal suspects that Samar and Halim are having an affair. Halim confesses his love for Samar. Khalil sends doctored photos that suggest that Samar and Khalil are in a relationship. Kamal refuses to forgive his wife for cheating on him and taking drugs.

As Samar sees Kamal's wife, Manal, taking drugs in a casino, she enlists Halim's help who gets her a hotel room to stay in. Samar confronts Rozy, who informs her that Salem knows about her relationship with Khalil. Ghattas kidnaps Samar.

Against her wishes, Samar returns to Ghattas's house. Rozy tells Kamal of Khalil's plots against Samar. Ghattas's mother bargains with Khalil to get him to drop the charges. Samar calls Kamal in secret. Rozy takes pictures of Ghattas, Fawzy, and Salem with the drugs.

Manal visits her lover Wagdy, who is Kamal's friend. Ghattas sees Samar while she is speaking to Kamal on the phone. Kamal rushes to Ghattas's house and picks up Samar after a fight with Ghattas. Samar's mother passes away.

Rozy gives Salem, Ghattas, and Wagdy's photos to Samar. Samar confronts Ghattas and asks him to meet Manal. Manal informs Samar that she is unhappy with Kamal. Ghattas, Fawzy, Salem, and Khalil get arrested.

Wagdy regrets his affair with Manal. Ghattas's mother grows repentant. Rola informs Kamal that Samar is in love with him but she kept her distance for his wife's sake. Kamal confronts Wagdy about his affair with Manal. Manal tries to kill Kamal and Samar. Samar marries Kamal.
