Abdu decides to throw Afaf a birthday party. Maged is angered when one of Abdu's former colleagues visits him at the hospital. Abdu accidentally has a fight with the company's new manager, Ref'at. Atef asks Abdu to quit his job. Mahmoud asks Atef for Afaf's hand in marriage.
Ref'at and Fathy plot to land Abdu in trouble. Safaa is transferred to another department, much to Abdu's fury. Abdu approves Mahmoud's marriage to Afaf, but Maged and Ra'fat oppose the marriage, for they look down on Mahmoud's job as a mechanic.
Abdu is shocked that Maged is willing to cut ties off with him if Afaf weds Mahmoud. Safaa advises Abdu to stand up to his sons. Abdu decides to have Afaf wed Mahmoud behind her siblings' backs. Maged insults Enas when she tries to talk him into agreeing to the marriage.
Afaf is unable to convince Ra'fat to approve her marriage. When Abdu makes a mistake at work, Safaa defends him in front of Ref'at. Safaa foils Maged and Ra'fat's plan to sabotage the wedding.
Abdu informs Abdel Fadil that Ref'at wants to doctor the company's financial documents to evade taxes. Ra'fat causes Mahmoud's workshop to shut down. Abdu visits Enas while Atef is away. Ra'fat convinces Maged to visit Abdu.
Abdel Fadil passes away. Ref'at steals an important file from Abdu's desk. Abdu is fired for allegedly failing to keep up with the introduction of technology at work. As Abdu seeks his sons' help to sue Ref'at, his sons let him down.
When Abdu suffers from a mental breakdown after his firing, Afaf and Safaa stick by his side to support him. When the doctor advises the family to have Abdu admitted to a psychiatric facility, Atef, Maged, and Ra'fat gather to figure out an alternative.
Abdu moves in with Ra'fat. Safaa steals a file from the company. Afaf discovers that she is pregnant. As Abdu recovers, he decides to move into a nursing home without telling his children, but they find out and bring him back home.
Tension rises between Badriya and Ra'fat after Abdu moves in with him and starts interfering with their lives. Safaa brings Abdu the file she stole to use for his lawsuit. Ra'fat tries to get close to Safaa.
Badriya treats Abdu coldly. Abdu sues Ref'at, who unsuccessfully tries to bargain with him. Unbeknownst to them, Abdu and Safaa get involved with a smuggler who deals in expired drugs.
Abdu causes trouble for Ra'fat at work, prompting him to go to stay with Atef. Ref'at decides to cover his crimes by burning down the buildings that are being examined.
Abdu and Fathy are interrogated about the fire. Abdu's happiness at staying with Atef is short-lived as they clash with each other, but Atef soon reconciles with him.
With Enas preparing to travel abroad, Suzy asks Abdu to come stay with her and Maged. As Suzy complains about Maged's neglect, Abdu tries to intervene, which causes a fight between father and son. Medhat proposes to Safaa.
With Abdu's help, Suzy opens an atelier in the villa. When Maged's guests insult Suzy, Abdu quarrels with them, leading to Maged's decision to admit him to a psychiatric facility. Ref'at and Fathy encourage Khudair to admit to burning the building, but he records their confessions.
Abdu goes to stay with Afaf. Fathy and Ref'at are imprisoned. An exhausted Maged operates on a patient who ends up dying. Ra'fat's theft of translated articles is exposed, and he leaves the house after fighting with the selfish Badriya. Afaf is transferred to the hospital.
As Afaf gives birth to a boy, the family gathers to celebrate. Maged is questioned by the police and charged with wrongful death. Enas decides to return to Egypt.
Ra'fat faces a financial crisis. Maged is suspended. Abdu confronts his three sons about their mistakes and kicks them out to force them to depend on themselves. As his sons reconcile with their wives, the family comes together after a period of time to celebrate Afaf's birthday.
