Lama is surprised by her failure at school and continues her relationship with the young Nabil. She looks back at the memories of her deceased parents with her uncle. Nabil's father confronts his wife Sanaa with their difficult financial situation.

Lama suffers from the arrogance of her uncle Adnan's wealthy family. Adnan gets angry after learning of Lama's love for a young man without his knowledge. Ibrahim and his girlfriend return from their travels.

Lama discovers Iyad's love for her. She meets her cousin Samer, who is opposed to his family's condescension. Iyad asks his father to inquire about Nabil and offers him a sum of money in exchange for staying away from Lama.

Lama and Suhail travel on a trip with Nabil and his siblings; where Nabil proposes to Lama. Suhail and Haifa grow closer during the trip and they reveal to each other their past.

Iyad is shocked by Lama's engagement, despite Adnan's request to her to meet Nabil first. When Adnan asks to meet Lama to talk to her, she's surprised by his calmness.

Nabil meets with Samer and they exchange admiration. Suhail's ex-girlfriend reappears in his life after her divorce from her husband, but he rejects her. Ibrahim travels again, and Shady tries to harass Salma, his maid.

Iyad starts seeing prostitutes. Radwan surprises Marwan by publishing his novel. As Adnan's wife gets sick, he searches for a way to break off Lama's engagement; Adnan meets with Lama and complains to her about his family's conditions.

Nabil's work gets better. Adnan tells Lama that there is a dispute between him and her father because her father is after an apartment that he owns. Adnan offers Lama the apartment as a wedding gift, and Suhail denies it.

As Adnan's wife's condition worsens, it's revealed that she is diagnosed with cancer. Samer returns to speak with his family. Nabil orders Lama to refuse Adnan's gift.

Nabil quarrels with Lama because she's late in informing Adnan of their decision. When she tells Adnan about it, he refuses what she proposed.

Marwan and Nadia grow closer to each other. Marwan falls for a customer at the restaurant where he works. Nabil breaks off his engagement with Lama after finding out what she did.

Ruba continues to incite Lama against Nabil. Nabil's family insists that he must reconcile with Lama. Marwan asks Radwan to marry Nadia.

As Lama suffers from her misery, she calls Nabil after feeling guilty, but he refuses to listen to her. Suhail admires the student Ayman's mother.

Nabil changes his job in order to get a higher salary. Adnan's wife dies after her health deteriorates. Iyad suffers from a psychological crisis because of Adnan after the death of his mother.

Nabil approaches Salwa. Adnan asks Lama to marry Iyad. Suhail asks Safia to speak to Ayman about their relationship. Marwan follows up news of Adnan's illegal activities in a scoop.

When Safia confronts Ayman with her relationship with Suhail, he surprises her by accepting the matter. As Iyad reconnects with Lama, she feels sorry for him for his stuttering.

Samer helps Salma and treats her mother. Lama answers an invitation to dinner. Suhail gets close to Ayman. Adnan's daughter discovers her father's actions with Lama.

Lama finds out the truth about Ruba and regrets her action. Adnan gives her a week to decide whether she wants to marry Iyad or not. Iyad gets sick. Nabil decides to marry Salwa, his boss at work.

Marwan and Nadia prepare for their wedding. Lama discovers Nabil's relationship with Salwa. Marwan publishes an article against Adnan. Iyad and Lama meet Nabil and Salwa by chance. Nabil asks Salwa to marry him.

Nabil faces his family's objection to his marriage to Salwa. Lama discovers from Samer and his sister that Iyad has AIDS and that Adnan hid this from her. Iyad commits suicide.

Lama suffers from remorse, as Adnan holds her responsible for what happened to Iyad and spreads malicious rumors about her. Nabil sets the date of his wedding.

Lama learns that Salwa has previously worked with Adnan. Nabil refuses to believe that Lama didn't accept to marry Iyad. Shady threatens Lama to get her to return the apartment to his father.

Samer threatens his father to stay away from Lama. Nabil and Salwa get married. Lama graduates. Suhail quarrels with Hend because of her attempt to come between him and Safia.

Disagreements arise between Nabil and Salwa because of her independence and her hatred for his family and friends. Adnan involves Shady in running his business.

Nabil discovers that there is illegal tampering with Salwa's company and asks her to choose between stopping it or continuing their marriage. Adnan quarrels with Shady for making decisions in the company without his knowledge.

Salwa refuses to yield to Nabil and offers him the presidency of the company's decision-making committee. Shady blackmails Lama with fabricated photos that he sends to Samer and Nabil, and she reveals this to Suhail.

Salma's mother dies. Nabil and Salwa reconcile. Suhail advises Lama to forget Nabil. Marwan and Nadia get married. Salwa meets Adnan and declares her desire to hide the past, and Nabil hears her engaged in a mysterious phone call.

When Nabil suspects Salwa's behavior, he leaves a tape recorder in her office and learns about her visit to Adnan's office without his knowledge. Nabil recalls his memories with Lama.

When Nabil meets Lama, she reveals to him that she still loves him. Nabil hears Salwa's recordings and discovers that she's in a relationship with someone else regarding her crimes with Adnan and Lou'ay.

When Nabil confronts Salwa with the recordings, she tells Adnan what happened. Nabil informs the police about Salwa and her associates. After Nabil and Lama reconcile, a man shots Nabil and Lama waits for his recovery.
