Khamis the lunatic wanders the neighborhoods asking for help. As Mustafa fights with Hassan, master Doughry flogs them. Aisha reveals her feelings to Sami, while Sayed congratulates his sister Zainab on her baby, and Karima serves Mustafa out of her love.

Ali Al Tawaf brings Ratib to the neighborhood and he serves the Doughry family. Hassan leaves the house and is injured during training, while Mustafa moves to Zainab's house in protest of their flogging. Shadia introduces Sayed to Shwikar Hanem, who asks him for some designs and becomes taken by him.

Sayed plans to exploit Shwikar's feelings; Al Doughry refuses to partner with the sweets shop with subsidized flour; Abu Al Rida Shanan asks to marry Karima; Mustafa tells his father about Aisha and Sami's relationship.

Al Doughry treats Aisha gently and he compensates Ahmed Al Adil after his salary got stolen. Shwikar goes out with Sayed, while Abu Al Rida leaves his job to join the pastry shop, and Mustafa spends time alone with Karima.

Al Doughry orders the marriage of Mustafa and Karima, while Abu Al Rida gets married and asks his son to leave the house. Zainab reveals to her father that Mustafa is Karima’s foster brother, but Ahmed Al Adil explains that the matter is fabricated.

Shwikar rents an apartment to set up an atelier for Sayed, and a simple wedding is held for Mustafa and Karima. Shwikar hosts everyone, while Sayed and Al Doughry travel with Shwikar to Paris for fashion shows.

Master Doughry dies suddenly. Mustafa achieves modest success that does not qualify him to work at the university, while Hassan succeeds in high school. Abu Al Rida offers to sell the bakery, and kicks his son Sami out of the house.

Sayed returns from Paris, and Shwikar announces in the press the arrival of the fashion designer. Hassan is benched due to lack of training, and asks Aisha to manage the bakery for a while, but she refuses. Mustafa asks his siblings to sell the bakery in preparation for traveling to America.

Mustafa takes his share of the inheritance and borrows his sister Aisha's share, then travels to America to prepare for his doctorate. Abu Al Rida buys the bakery and changes its sign with his name. As a clash erupts between Shwikar and Sayed over the management of the atelier, Sayed assaults her.

Mustafa asks Sayed for financial help while he is in America. Zeinhom tells Sayed that Al Doughry mortgaged the house to help Mustafa with his trip to Paris and his marriage. Mustafa sends Karima a divorce paper from America, and Ahmed Al Adil tells Zainab of this.

Shwikar complains about Sayed's thefts, gambling, and womanizing, then she asks him to marry her and he agrees. Sami writes to Hassan, and Aisha succeeds in college. Sayed gives Al Arabi his old store, while Shadia confesses her love to Sayed. Ali Al Tawaf continues to live with the family

Sayed gives Karima money as compensation for what she has been through recently. Shwikar suffers a heart attack and takes her last breath while she's in her wedding dress, and Sayed is in seclusion at home. Sami is hired as a teacher at Ahmed Al Adil's school, and Mustafa returns from America.

Mustafa asks his siblings to agree to sell the house so that he can marry Nagwa, his professor's daughter. Sayed marries Karima and comes out of his isolation. Aisha meets Sami again, and he and his father propose to her, but Sayed refuses their marriage because of Abu Al Rida's actions towards them.

Aisha leaves the house and moves to Zainab's house, protesting against not letting her marry Sami. Mustafa asks Abu Al Rida to buy the house, and accuses Sayed of mortgaging the house and dishonesty, threatening to resort to the law. Sayed returns to practice his profession again.

Sayed tells Mustafa that he paid off the mortgage with his own money, while Mustafa tries to convince Sayed and Hassan to sell the house. Aisha returns to her home and tells Mustafa that she does not want to sell. Sayed returns to work in his shop and has a boy. Aisha and Sami live on the rooftop.
