As Hajj Rabi'e dies, he asks his son Abdel Ghafour to preserve the wealth of his siblings Sabry, Ibrahim, and Khadija. Disputes continue to emerge between Sabry and Abdel Ghafour after Sabry runs their father's trade.

Rabi'e traces his family's past to reveal his father's greed. Sabry submits his documents to the lawyer to challenge Abdel Ghafour's control of their father's property. Abdel Ghafour hands Khadija a sum of money, while Sabry visits Ibrahim in prison to win him over.

Rabi'e discovers the previous relationship between his grandfather, Abdel Ghafour, and Zuhair. Sabry visits Ibrahim's friend Osama, who asks him to prepare an old house they have until Ibrahim returns.

Ibrahim's family visits him in prison, while Rabi'e discovers that Abdel Ghafour has wasted Zuhair's fortune. Ezzo hits Sa'eed after the latter discovers that Ezzo swindled him.

Sabry refuses to divorce Jamila while continuing with his multiple affairs. Sabry and Rabi'e intervene to reconcile between Ezzo and Sa'eed. Zuhair accepts Reem's engagement to Fares. Sabry blames his father for giving up his property to Abdel Ghafour.

As Sabry offers Rabi'e to partner up with him, their bond grows stronger, while Abdel Ghafour watches them. Zuhair's wife gets angry because of Abdel Ghafour's offer for Sa'eed to work with him.

Rabi'e works with Ezzo behind his father's back and borrows money from him. As Fares faces financial difficulty during wedding preparations, Reem runs into trouble with her work.

As Ezzo begins marketing Rabi'e’s merchandise, he gets money to buy more of his fabrics. Rabi'e quarrels with his sweetheart Manal because of her mother’s wish to marry her off to someone else. Abdel Ghafour waits for Haitham’s factory to complete his order in the Levant.

Abdel Ghafour is surprised by the leakage of goods similar to his own in the market from another supplier. As he quarrels with Ezzo, he confronts Rabi'e with his betrayal of him. Abdel Ghafour is forced to end his contract with Haitham's factory.

As Wissam returns from his travels, Abdel Ghafour informs him of his desire to involve him in his work. Rabi'e' confirms that Ezzo is behind bringing goods similar to Abdel Ghafour’s goods in order to keep suspicions away from Sabry.

After Hassan passes away, Abdel Ghafour and Sabry are trying to buy his shop. It's revealed that there is a relationship between Suhair and Abu Mazen. As Reem plays with Fares at a party, Wissam admires her.

Rabi'e quarrels with his father because of Wissam's desire to open his own shop. As Abdel Ghafour buys the shop for Rabi'e without informing him, he asks him to return to his home. Sabry faces financial difficulty, and Nazir returns from abroad.

Reem and Fares get married. Rabi'e and Sabry agree to sell the store for a hefty sum, which brings shock to Abdel Ghafour. Ibrahim finishes his prison sentence.

As Rabi'e hands over the money for the shop to his father, he rejects it, and they reconcile. Ibrahim stays at Osama's house while Abdel Ghafour holds a banquet for the poor. Sabry and Nazir become partners in the shop.

Nazir faces trouble with his addict son. Abdel Ghafour faces a slump in his business. As Ezzo quarrels with Adnan due to his failure to pay his dues to him, the latter turns to Abdel Ghafour for help.

As Abdel Ghafour meets with Ibrahim and Khadija and offers to buy their share, he is surprised by Khadija's distrust of him. As Abdel Ghafour assigns Rabi'e to determine the value of his share in the inheritance, he intervenes in resolving the dispute between Ezzo and Adnan.

Abu Mazen refuses to let Suhair be free of his control while Sabry watches them. Rabi'e defends his relationship with Manal in front of his parents, which provokes their anger. Rabi'e secretly transfers Sabry's goods with the help of Ezzo.

As Sabry gets close to Jamila in order to win her back, he is running for the People's Assembly elections. As Rabi'e and Ezzo are having trouble selling the goods because Abu Omar is standing up to them, Sabry asks him to acknowledge his partnership with them.

As Sabry asks Abdel Ghafour to give up his share in their old house in favor of Ibrahim, he accepts. Khadija sells her share in the factory to Sabry in exchange for double the amount that Abdel Ghafour offered her.

Abu Omar warns Abdel Ghafour because of Rabi'e’s manipulation of thread prices in the market and spreading smuggled goods; Rabi'e refuses to reconcile with him and tells them how they swindled Zuhair. The problems between Reem and Fares increase because of their tough financial situation.

As Reem leaves Fares’s house, she accidentally runs into Wissam. Christine chases Sabry due to her admiration for him. Sabry turns to court to settle the matter of the shared inheritance. Zuhair refuses to let Sa'eed run his new shop.

Abdel Ghafour agrees to let Sabry run the business with him so that he can watch him, and then he shows him that the fabrics warehouse is empty. Rabi'e and Manal get married without his father's knowledge.

As Suhair discovers her pregnancy, Sabry confronts her with her betrayal of him with Abu Mazen, and he divorces her; when he discovers her pregnancy, he fails to find her. Fares leaves his home after he suspects a relationship between Wissam and Reem.

Abdel Ghafour is enraged after learning about Rabi'e's secret marriage. Suhair resorts to going to court after Sabry refuses to recognize their son and orders her to have an abortion. Adnan runs away to Ezzo and sells his shop to Rabi'e.

As Reem discovers her pregnancy, she has a miscarriage. Sabry evades Christine after sleeping with her, and Jamila finds out about their affair. Sabry gives his blessing to Ibrahim’s relationship with the young woman Hanin. Wissam turns against Abdel Ghafour.

Fares divorces Reem. Sulayma faces her failure to raise her children. Sabry makes an agreement with Suhair in exchange for her dropping the case. Abdel Ghafour asks Ibrahim to mediate to reconcile between him and his family.

As Reem's family turns against her, she arranges to flee to Beirut, but she changes her mind. Rabi'e chases Ezzo to pay off his debt. Abu Mazen refuses to help Sabry. Rabi'e treats his father harshly.

As Sabry confronts Rabi'e with his betrayal and cooperation with Haider against him, he orders him to pay off his debt to him. Fares is beaten after his quarrel with Haider. Manal discovers her pregnancy.

Jamila visits Suhair after she gives birth to Sabry's daughter. As Rabi'e gets involved in a tax evasion case, he asks his father for money to pay for a new smuggling operation. Ibrahim and Hanin wed. Reem reconciles with Fares.

As Sabry reconciles with Suhair after seeing their daughter, he decides to dissolve his partnership with Abdel Ghafour and file a fraud lawsuit against him, after which Sabry's partner abandons him. Ibrahim confronts Abdel Ghafour about how greed is what led the family to this fate.
