When a theft causes Metwalli to suspect his friend Shalaby, he is devastated after Shalaby dies and he discovers that it was Shawki stealing from him. When Saeid graduates from high school, Metwalli refuses to allow him to go to college and instead forces him to join him at work.
Saeid is upset that his father won't allow him to go to college, but Amina helps him finish his education behind Metwalli's back. As Saeid starts working with his father, Naematalla tries to get him to marry her daughter Fatma.
Zaher starts working with Madiha. Saeid falls for his classmate Samira. He continues to refuse to marry Fatma despite the family's attempt to bring them together.
It's revealed that Samira is Fawzya's daughter. Samira dislikes Metwalli whom she thinks wants to marry her mother.
As they grow close, Saeid doesn't tell Samira that he is Metwalli's son. Amina advises him to tell her the truth. Zaher tries to get money from Madiha through Nahed.
When Samira tells Saeid that Metwalli attended her birthday party, Saeid relays the information to Amina, believing that Metwalli wants to marry Fawzya. But it turns out that he wants to marry Samira.
