Wanis' family's ship arrives on an island in Athens. As Wanis' children plan to immigrate, Wanis tries to teach them a lesson about home. When a group of travelers go missing, Wanis calls up a line to form and look for them. Wanis discovers that his ship has disappeared.

Zakaria wants Wanis to get them back home as quickly as possible. Wanis finds a message from Gharib that he took the ship and will return in two months. Wanis and Metaw' go looking for Youssef and Amina.

When Abu Al-Fadl reads about how the island is submerged in water for eight months every year, Wanis discovers that they have two months until the island is flooded, putting everyone's lives in danger.

When Wanis discovers that the canteen has been robbed, he suspects that the island is inhabited. Armed people attack Wanis' camp but Wanis discovers that it's just a prank show. Wanis' family goes home.

Wanis discovers that another lawyer is poaching his clients. He meets the lawyer, Shiraz, who is taking his clients and warns her to stop.

As the Parliamentary elections start, an enthusiastic Wanis discovers that his children don't care about it. He arranges a meeting for his buildings' residents to choose a president for the Homeowners Association.

Wanis tries to convince his family of the elections' importance, only to discover that Sharafuddin isn't a registered voter. Wanis tells Shiraz that she has no principals. Abu Al-Fadl discovers that Wanis isn't a registered voter either.

Wanis receives a gift from Esmat and discovers that Shiraz is not Esmat's daughter. When Wanis meets Esmat's competitor, he grows to respect how principled he is and decides to help him win the election.

Esmat sets Wanis up and Shiraz tries to warn Wanis about Esmat's plans. Shiraz resents Wanis for awakening her conscience.

Wanis listens to people's complaints about prices and the difficulty of life but when a TV channel interviews them, they thank the government. Jihad discovers that she might get fired.

Wanis discovers that Shakira is responsible for the chaos in the building. When he meets her, he discovers that she is a vulgar and uncivilized woman. Jihad decides to work as an ad model as Zakaria becomes a taxi driver.

Wanis tries to find a solution for the garbage problem and goes to meet a government official. When the new maid, Soso, arrives, Wanis discovers that she is a difficult person to deal with. Wanis learns that Khalil is his new neighbor.

Wanis is fed up with Khalil's harassment. He discovers that Jihad has started working with Hossam behind his back. When Shiraz's family become homeless in the wake of their house's collapse, Wanis invites them to live with him.

Shiraz's family moves in with Wanis who tries to find a temporary house for them. As Wanis tries to help Shakira and her daughters, he discovers that his children are suspicious of his behavior.

Khalil plans to facilitate the illegal emigration of a group of youth for money. Tharwat confesses that he killed his son Hady and enlists Wanis' help. Fetis tells Wanis about Khalil's illegal activities.

Wanis tries to warn his family about the danger of illegal emigration as he figures out a way to stop Khalil. Shakira's daughters try to get her close to Wanis.

When Tharwat takes Wanis to show him where he buried Hady, Wanis discovers that Tharwat fabricated the story so that he could get him and Shiraz to accept his gifts. Wanis and Shakira discover that the children are trying to get them to wed.

Wanis tries to bring the new government projects to his family's attention and takes them to visit various projects. Shiraz tells Wanis about how she adopted Shady.

Jihad and Zakaria join Ahlam to work in her new restaurant. Shahira leaves her fiancé. Halkoum suggests a way to solve the traffic problem but Wanis rejects it.

When Abu Al-Makarem dies, Abu Al-Fadl inherits his money. Nader and Hoda refuse the villa that Nader's father bought for them. Wanis meets a woman, Sabreen, whose father died because of a traffic jam.

Wanis suffers from Shiraz's over-attention to him. Ahlam launches her project with Jihad who complains that Ahlam is trying to control everything. Shiraz tells Wanis that she loves him but she doesn't want to marry him.

Wanis tries to prevent Baher's attempt to pay taxes on the apartments. Nader and Hoda buy an apartment. Shahira asks Shakira to let her get a job.

Wanis is worried for his grandchildren when he discovers how violence has become prevalent in schools. Zeinat learns that Khalil has married the maid, Hasnaa. Wanis discovers that the school curriculum is in English.

Metaw' tells Wanis that Zakaria is doing something suspicious. Zeinat asks Khalil for a divorce. Bassel returns to continue his education in Egypt and asks Wanis to stay with him. Wanis meets his old teacher.

Abdel Aziz stays in Wanis' house. Shakira tries to get her children to study. Shiraz loses it when Wanis tells her that Shady's mother is looking for him.

Abdel Jawad informs Wanis that Abdel Aziz is ill and keeps forgetting things. Zakaria confesses that he donated the money that belongs to Wanis' children to save a child from death.

Shiraz meets Shady's mother but doesn't tell her that she has Shady. Imtyaz visits Wanis after years of absence. Sally asks Shiraz to give Shady back to her.

Shiraz asks Sally to leave Shady with her. Hoda prepares a list of the things she need so that her relatives can buy them for her.

Wanis tries to help Shiraz move on from Shady's departure. When Wanis discovers that the divorce rates are going up, he is worried about Hoda and Nader. Abu Al-Fadl gives Harisa and Mo'taza their rights back.

Mo'taza stands up to her husband when he tries to seize Harisa's money. Tharwat, Youssef, and Shakira partner up to build a school.

Mo'taza continues to clash with her husband. Wanis prepares for Hoda and Nader's wedding.

As Hoda and Nader's wedding day arrives, Wanis reflects on his memories with his late wife Maysa as he grows concerned about living alone.

Hossam leaves Mo'taza and threatens to take their daughter away if she remarries. Wanis is saddened by Hoda's departure and feels lonely when he discovers that everyone left, including Shiraz.

Wanis plays matchmaker for Shahira and Imtyaz. When he goes to visit Abdel Aziz, the latter tells him how he quit his job after a student assaulted him. Shiraz meets her ex-husband and discovers that his wife died.

Wanis instructs his children not to waste water after he notices the global concern about water as a resource. He is upset to discover that water is being wasted on watering golf courses when a lot of people don't have water at home.

Wanis learns that vegetables and fruits are being irrigated with wastewater and tries to stop it. Wanis plays matchmaker for Shiraz and her ex-husband

Tharwat tries to stop the school project to build a golf course instead. Ahlam tells Shiraz about her uncle who tries to force her to wed. Hoda and Nader return from their trip.

Wanis discovers that Mo'taza and Hossam have separated and suspects that Tharwat and Mo'taza are in a relationship.

Imtyaz and Tharwat go to ask for Shakira's daughter's hand. Youssef suspects that Wanis and Ahlam have a misyar marriage and Amina decides to confront Wanis. Malak is discriminated against.

As rumors fly around, everyone thinks that Wanis has married both Shiraz and Ahlam. Wanis confronts his family and reveals that it's only a rumor.

Shiraz stands up to her brother-in-law who abuses his family. Imtyaz confesses that his brother Hady is imprisoned on drug charges. Abla spreads a rumor that Wanis has married Soso.

Wanis discovers that Hoda doesn't want to have kids as Nader grows worried about the idea. Elaine dies while listening to the piano.

Wanis learns that Elaine has died. Hossam tries to take Donia without Wanis' knowledge but Wanis stops him. Mo'taza marries Tharwat. Shakira tries to get close to Wanis.

Wanis tries to reconcile Shakira and Youssef. He learns that Hoda is pregnant and that she wants to name her child after him. He suspects that Shakira is trying to force him to marry her.

Bassel and Donia grow close. As the family plans to become American citizens, they consider sending Hoda to give birth in the US. Abbas threatens Shiraz's family to give him money. When Wanis tries to stop him, Abbas stabs him.

Abu Al-Fadl reflects on the time Fou'ad injured Wanis. As Wanis recovers, Shiraz thanks him for protecting her family.

Shiraz and Shakira clash over Wanis. Wanis' children plan to get him to marry so that they can travel abroad. Wanis is released from the hospital.

Youssef plans to build a school that sends its students abroad. Hoda loses her baby. Ahlam tells Wanis that she lied to him about her marriage.

Ahlam, Shiraz and Shakira compete to take care of Wanis. Gharib and Caramela arrive from Greece and ask Wanis to come with them for a project. Shiraz suspects that Sally is trying to get close to Wanis. Wanis discovers that Shakira is trying to set him up.

Bassel confesses his love for Donia but Wanis tells him that he is too young. Wanis discovers that Sally likes him.

Shakira complains that Wanis traveled without telling her. Wanis discovers that Gharib and Caramela have lost their fortune and Gharib is trying to keep it a secret.

Wanis tries to warn his friends and family when he discovers that they are investing money in Gharib's fake project. Shiraz discovers that Sally took off with Shady.

Bahira apologizes to Wanis for what she has done. Tharwat plans to marry Shakira. Gharib and Caramela reflect on their plans for Wanis.

Baher is reappointed as governor and tries to convince Wanis to work for him. Wanis discovers that Baher has joined Gharib's project and that everyone has fallen for his ruse.

Wanis discovers that Gharib deceived him and pretended to be crazy when he actually owns an island. Wanis discovers that Laila hasn't joined Gharib's project. Imtyaz decides to leave Bahira.

Wanis pressures Gharib to launch a project in Egypt. Soso falls victim to a scheme that reveals a great deal of corruption.

Wanis decides to help Soso. Wanis' grandchildren decide not to go to Gharib's island. Gharib decides to launch his island project in Egypt.

Wanis learns that Sharafuddin is expecting a new baby. As he manages to help Soso, he learns that he can not solve everyone's problems.

Wanis discovers that Dr. Ashraf killed himself because of financial difficulties but the media paints another picture and distorts the truth.

Malak informs Wanis that cracks have appeared all over the building. Wanis' family decides to emigrate. Wanis agrees to let them go but refuses to accompany them.
