Hanadi and Samir treat their father's wife, Nagwa, badly. Hanadi refuses to let Nagwa return with her children to Egypt, and Samir refuses to give her and his siblings their right in their father's inheritance. Nasser and Mansour's uncle tries to convince them of the need to study to get a job.
Mansour grows fond of Ashwaq, while her uncle's wife, Umm Muhammad (Muhammad’s mother), treats her badly after her father's death. Abdulaziz is conducting suspicious business operations with Hassan, and he decides to leave his father to live in his new home.
Hanadi asks her husband to fulfill her wish to have children. Ashwaq complains to Haya that her uncle and his wife treat her badly and are preventing her from studying.
Ashwaq asks Mansour to propose to her; meanwhile, Abu Abdulaziz (Abdulaziz's father) tries to convince his son to marry Ashwaq to seize her inheritance.
Mansour asks his father to go with him to propose to Ashwaq, but Abu Abdulaziz goes before him and asks her to marry his son, whereupon Abu Hamad rebukes him.
When Hanadi kicks Nagwa out of the house, she is forced to live with Abu Hamad. Mansour stays in his father's house. Hassan resents Abdulaziz and decides to take revenge on him after his marriage to Ashwaq.
Hanadi prevents Nagwa from seeing her children. Abu Muhammad proposes to marry Nagwa, whereupon his wife quarrels with her, while Umm Haya believes that her husband wants to marry Nagwa, too.
Nagwa agrees to marry Abu Hamad, and Samir proposes to Haya.
Quarrels begin between Nagwa and Abu Muhammad's first wife, while Abu Muhammad treats her children badly. Mansour decides to leave his father's house; meanwhile, Abdulaziz treats Ashwaq in the same bad way.
Ashwaq asks Abdulaziz to stay in another house away from his father to avoid his interference in their life. Samir disagrees with Haya about her studies and work and asks her to leave them.
Ashwaq leaves the house, goes back to her uncle’s house and asks for a divorce. Samir splits up with Haya. Abu Muhammad divorces Nagwa, and she returns to live in the house of Hanadi, who begins to treat her better. Mansour and Ashwaq get engaged, and so do Nasser and Haya.
