Hekmat is surprised by the decision of the Minister of Education to honor her for her tremendous efforts at school. She helps a poor girl, Sahar, whose father wants to wed off to an older man. Hekmat refuses to halt the school activities on the visiting day.
Hekmat tries to find a way for Sahar to evade her father's decision to wed her off. Hekmat learns that her neighbor Waguih has returned from abroad.
Abir gets bullied by Reem for being poor. Hekmat is enraged by the Ministry of Education's decision to grant security forces entrance to the school while she is being honored, and she submits her resignation.
Hekmat's resignation is rejected. Reem plants her bracelet in Abir's bag and frames her for theft. When Safaa confesses to the truth, Reem slaps Abir, and the former is dismissed from school. When Amgad, Hekmat's brother, returns from his travels, he refuses the money she offers him.
Hekmat asks Awad Allah to transfer Reem to a new school, but he refuses and hires thugs to threaten Galal and get Abir to confess to stealing the bracelet. As Abir passes out, she is rushed to the hospital. Awad Allah vows revenge on Hekmat.
Al-Rashidy asks for the governer's help to get Reem back to school. The Ministry issues a report preventing Reem from joining any school. To exact his revenge, Awad Allah gets Mostafa Al-Rashidy to bring him any information that can be used against Hekmat. The teachers help Abir get back on her feet.
When Salah, Hekmat's ex-lover, comes back to visit her, they reminisce over the past. Hekmat follows up on the investigation of Mr. Bahaa's issue with a female teacher. When Hekmat misses the meeting at school, Al-Menshawy's resentment of her surfaces.
Hekmat rejects Waguih's marriage proposal. A cabinet reshuffle takes place in the Ministry of Education. Amgad calls Hekmat and tells her that an anonymous person gave him the money necessary for the surgery he needed while abroad.
Al-Rashidy files a complaint against Hekmat, accusing her of transferring his money to her account and attaches pictures with information for her bank account and the check he gave to her brother Amgad. Hekmat urges Salah to reach Amgad before he cashes the check.
Salah gives back the check to Hekmat and threatens Al-Rashidy to get him to leave her alone. Meanwhile, a teacher at the school gets an anxiety hysteria when a female teacher refuses to marry him.
Akram gets in contact with Salah to discuss possible commercial cooperation. Hekmat and Zahia have a confrontation over Zahia's wish to take over Hekmat's position. Rashida is promoted to the position of a Deputy Minister, much to Hekmat's dissatisfaction.
Feeling that she has failed to bring about a positive impact to the education process, Hekmat resigns her job. Salah sends Hekmat a record notifying her that he left her all his fortune and traveled abroad for a dangerous surgery.
Hekmat's siblings gather with her as soon as they find out about the fortune Salah left her. Salah's lawyer brings Hekmat a gift for her birthday. Hekmat starts using the money for charitable work, and she wonders why does Salah's family visits her often.
Failing to negotiate with Hekmat, Salah's family wage an attack on her via newspapers. When Hekmat's proposal to use the money to establish a school is rejected, she opts for starting a charitable organization. However, Salah's shares are frozen and she faces possible incrimination.
Feeling that Salah's money has only got her into trouble, Hekmat tells Salah's lawyer that she refuses his money. Salah tells Hekmat he only left her his fortune to handle his tax evasion issues. Hekmat is honored and a school is named after her in appreciation of her efforts.
