Abu Ismat (Ismat's father) treats his three daughters firmly and tries to put them on the right path, while Abu Munir suffers from his young son Fawaz’s recklessness and his mother’s pampering of him.
Mai disagrees with her two sisters, Ismat and Rifaat, regarding the way they treat the maid, Umm Al Saeed. When Abu Ismat falls ill, the doctor tells him that he needs urgent surgery and that his days are numbered.
Umm Fawaz (Fawaz's mother) treats her husband's son, Munir, in a bad way. Abu Ismat decides to inventory all his property to distribute it among his daughters before his death, and to marry them off to ensure their well-being.
Abu Ismat forces his three daughters to get married, but his young daughter, Mai, refuses and turns to her aunt, so her father deprives her of the inheritance.
Abu Ismat transfers all his property equally between his two daughters, Ismat and Rifaat. After the surgery, he is surprised that the doctor made a mistake in diagnosing his condition and that he will not die.
Ismat and Rifaat travel for their honeymoon, and Abu Munir scolds Abu Ismat for depriving his daughter Mai of his wealth. Mazen convinces Rifaat to invest her money in a profitable project, while Ismat takes over the management of the company.
Fawaz fails in his studies and his mother hides the matter from his father. Hisham resents the actions of his wife Ismat and her control over everything, while Mazen controls his wife Rifaat’s decisions, as well as her money.
Mazen bargains with Ismat to give him money in exchange for selling Rifaat's share for her at less than its value. When Mai thinks about visiting her father, Ismat prevents her and claims that he asked her to sever ties with her.
Hisham quarrels with Ismat for firing her nanny, Umm Al Saeed, and her husband from working in the villa. Abu Ismat returns from traveling and is shocked by his daughter Ismat’s decisions and her ingratitude towards him.
Hisham complains to Abu Ismat about what his daughter is doing, and the latter issues a decision to remove her father’s name from the company.
Mazen agrees with Rifaat to stay with her father in order to get closer to him and exploit the matter against Ismat, while Fawaz works for the latter in the factory.
Mazen tells his brother Walid that he has seized all of Rifaat’s property, then travels and leaves her. Abu Munir is looking for work after leaving the company, while Ismat refuses to have children.
Rifaat collapses when she discovers that Mazen has deceived her, and the police close Ismat's factory for violating safety standards.
Ismat refuses to let her sister Rifaat live in her villa, and the police arrest Fawaz and question Ismat about violations of safety standards in the factory.
Rifaat leaves her father and stays with her aunt, while Mai returns to her father. After Ismat dies in a car accident, her husband Hisham hands over all of her inheritance to her father, Abu Ismat, who returns to running the company and to his villa.
