As Manal moves from Damanhour to Cairo with her father, her ex-husband Sayed sends her a message from Kuwait, as she regrets staying with him for several years. Gamal is looking for a wife to look after his mother. As Manal starts her work in a school, Gamal asks to marry her.

As Manal prepares to marry Gamal, his mother welcomes her and gives them money to hold a wedding ceremony. Rabab warns Manal about Gamal. As Manal and Gamal get married, Manal's father begins to suspect Gamal's miserliness.

As Manal tries to convince Gamal to have children, he refuses. Mahmoud sets the date for his wedding to Inas. As Jamal is looking for an opportunity to travel and work abroad, he tries to force Manal to give private lessons.

El Serouji is sad because Mahmoud's wife Inas suffers from difficulties in conceiving. As Gamal's mother's health worsens, Manal looks after her. When Manal asks Gamal to repay the debt to Rabab, he refuses and asks her to pay it off from private lessons. Gamal finds an opportunity to travel in the Gulf.

As Gamal arrives in Abu Dhabi, he gets to know his colleague Sherif and his wife, Amany, and lives next door to them. The relationship between Inas and Mahmoud is tense due to childbearing. Manal continues to give lessons because Gamal hasn't sent any money after his travel.

As Gamal returns from abroad for a visit, he meets Lamia, Amany's sister; he flirts with her and distorts the image of Manal in front of her. After Gamal obtains a general power of attorney from Manal, he marries Lamia and lies to Manal by telling her that he has traveled to work abroad.

Inas becomes pregnant despite the difficulties in completing her pregnancy. As Gamal ends the procedures of his resignation abroad, he returns and takes over the company with Lamia. Gamal thinks about importing and trading mobile devices. Manal discovers Gamal's marriage to Lamia.

Manal's condition deteriorates after the assault on her, so her father files a report against Gamal who gets arrested. As Gamal attempts to sway Manal's lawyer to his side, he steals Lamia's money. Gamal is sentenced to a month of imprisonment with a suspended sentence.

As Gamal's mother's condition worsens, Manal takes care of her treatment at Ehab's Hospital. Lamia asks Gamal to divorce Manal. Gamal clashes with Ehab, as he thinks that Ehab and Manal are in a relationship.

Manal tries to bring Inas and Mahmoud closer because of the childbearing problems. Ehab professes his love to Manal and his desire to marry her after her divorce from Gamal. Abdel Raouf watches Manal and informs Gamal of her movements.

Gamal refuses to divorce Manal. As Sherif warns Manal against Gamal's manipulation of her, she does not pay attention and ignores his words. Ehab tries to bargain with Gamal to divorce Manal in exchange for money.

Gamal travels abroad to escape the court’s ruling after the inauguration of a new company in the name of Abdel Raouf and the transfer of all transactions to it. Lamia gives birth. Sherif discovers Abdel Raouf and Gamal’s manipulation in the company. The court rules to divorce Manal from Gamal.

Gamal asks Ehab to give him the hospital in order to leave Manal who exposes his tricks to his mother. Lamia decides to dissolve the partnership with Gamal who agrees after threatening him to inform the prosecution about him.

As Ehab proposes to Manal, her father asks him to marry her without an engagement. Ehab marries Manal.

The lawyer offers Gamal to bargain with Manal and Ehab and to blackmail them. Amany plants listening devices in Gamal's home to monitor him. Gamal asks Abdel Raouf to give up the company to him.

As Abdel Raouf warns Ehab of Gamal's treachery, he is arrested by the Public Funds Prosecution. Lamia gets help to stop Gamal's evil. Gamal wins a lawsuit requiring Manal to return to him.

Manal's lawyer files an appeal against the verdict. Abdel Raouf's lawyer asks Sherif to help him get out of the case that Gamal got him implicated in. El Serouji suffers a heart attack and is taken to the hospital.

As the court rejects the petition submitted by Manal's lawyer, Manal grieves. Ehab tries to find a way to stay with Manal. The lawyer asks Gamal to pay off the debts or he will go to jail.

Gamal asks Ehab for a large sum in exchange for leaving Manal. El Serouji dies after his health deteriorates again. Ehab decides to sell the hospital and pay the money to Gamal. Abdel Raouf asks Manal not to sell the hospital.

As Manal returns to Gamal and lives in the chalet, he continues to blackmail her. Manal's lawyer is considering filing a case of khula (abdicative divorce) against Gamal. Ehab is determined to pay Gamal in order to leave Manal.

As Lamia asks for a divorce from Gamal, she discovers that Gamal made her sign a trust receipt for a large amount without knowing. Mahmoud reports that Gamal had kidnapped Manal who finds Gamal killed on the beach; Manal is accused of killing him.

As Manal remains in custody and Abdel Raouf missing, the latter appears and confesses to killing Gamal and is sentenced to prison. As Manal is released, she refuses to return to Ehab and goes to her father's house.
