when cooperation with the Al Kebar (The Major Leage) becomes a burden on the director

This work represents Mohamed Gamal El A’dl’s debut as a cinema director. He has collaborated in this effort with the eminent screenwriter Bashir Al Deek. The production has a distinctly serious tone as it discusses the theme of corruption which has become endemic to Egypt. In particular, he has not been successful in making the actors stand out, hence their roles in this production have been less poignant than their other works. It would also appear that Bashir Al Deek’s screenplay has also contributed to the project’s failure. The screenplay was completely lacking in thrill, moreover, it is simply a recycled copy of a screenplay that was written back in the 1980’s. Mohamed A’bd Al Moghny performs a role that is almost identical to the one he portrayed in “Al Gezirah” (The Island) and thus he doesn’t contribute much that is new. Audiences have been split in their reception of the film with some displaying dissatisfaction and others sympathetic. However, both sides would agree that the production is severely lacking. Critics on the other hand have been unanimous in their dissatisfaction with the production - Rania Youssif from elcinema.com described the script and the shooting as dilapidated. Mohamed A’bd Al Shakour echoed those same comments when he stated that the film is nothing more than useless dribble.
