Mansour and El Fadel were partners in an agricultural company that went bankrupt. When Fadel opens a wood company, Mansour tries to set him up by all means. He sends a shipment of adulterated wood to El Fadel, who is accused of fraud, while his son and his journalist friend are trying to find the truth.
Maha decides to conduct an interview with Mansour to get information about his involvement in the adulterated wood shipment. El Bahi is released from prison. El Fadel is in the hospital undergoing a heart surgery because of a stroke he had due to the possibility of the factory going bankrupt.
As El Bahi holds a document by which he can put Mansour in prison, Mansour asks one of his men to steal it, also he is planning to buy the wood factory. Mansour watches his daughter and learns that she is still meeting her lover after he left work because of him.
Mansour visits Fadel and asks him to mortgage his factory in exchange for lending him money to pay for the shipment of adulterated wood. Maha tries to uncover the truth, and Mansour tears up the document. Maha tries to make Suleiman work for Mansour.
Mansour tricks his daughter Kawthar into thinking that her lover is in a relationship with a colleague, but she discovers the truth. Maha takes her siblings to her apartment to live far from their evil stepmother. Mansour decides to wed Kawthar to Maha's fiancé, Fadel's son; Maha finds out and gets angry.

Warda goes to Samiha, Mansour's wife, and tells her the truth and helps her retrieve the promissory notes. Maha helps El Bahi take the knife that Mansour has as evidence of his guilt. As Hassan and Fadel go to Warda's house, Mansour finds them there and tries to keep them away from her.
El Fadel brings his friend to pretend he'll partner up with him on the factory and fund it, which angers Mansour, whom Maha tells she's against El Fadel since his son left her. As Maha tries to reveal the truth, she publishes articles about the issue in the paper. Maha proves to Kawthar that the letter is fake.
Mansour tries hard to mortgage the wood factory. As Samiha wants a divorce from Mansour, Fadel thinks of marrying her after her divorce, which angers his daughter. Maha spies on the factory to uncover the mystery of the adulterated wood shipment. Abdul Bari's wife leaves the house and goes to her sister.
Maha convinces Mansour that she made Abdulaziz back down from his partnership with Fadel. Abdul Bari goes to Safiya to take her home. Maha stands by Mansour against Fadel so that he doesn't suspect her. Fadel and Hassan deceive Mansour, who believes everything. El Bahi decides to join everyone.
Mansour tries to spy on Maha through Mahfouz. Abdul Bari's wife decides to go back home. Maha makes Suleiman jealous when she goes with him to a restaurant for dinner. Aziz works in the newspaper with Maha. Samiha returns to Mansour and thinks that Warda and Samir have deceived her.
Maha is afraid of Mansour as he learned the truth about her. Warda discovers the truth about Samir and that he hasn't deceived her. Suleiman confesses to Maha that he told Mahfouz that he had told her everything. Maha writes an exposé in Mansour's favor, and he thinks she supports him.
Abdul Bari goes to the airport to receive the mother of his children, but Safiya follows him and is angry with him. Mansour's wife discovers the truth about her husband and tells her daughter. Maha sets Mansour up, saves Fadel from prison and mortgages the wood factory. Samir and Warda decide to get married.
