Abdel Ghaffar complains about Mustafa to his mother, Layla, because he constantly harasses his daughter, Samia, while Mustafa accuses Abdel Ghaffar of abusing him because of the latter's desire to marry his mother, Layla.

Mustafa leaves his mother's house and resorts to staying with his father Selim. Hania advises Abdel Ghaffar to persuade Layla to marry him, while Selim plans to seize Layla's apartment.

Layla rejects her father and uncle's attempts to wed her to Sayed, while her uncle stands up to Selim and his attempts to seize the apartment and kicks him out.

As Abdel Ghaffar asks Layla's uncle and father for her hand in marriage, Layla promises to Abdel Ghaffar to take care of his two daughters after marriage. Selim threatens Layla after discovering her wish to get married.

Abdel Ghaffar parts with his late wife's jewelry to meet the marriage requirements set by Layla's parents, all the while he tries to get close to Mustafa.

Mustafa quarrels with his schoolmate and causes him a serious injury. Abdel Ghaffar marries Layla.

Disagreements erupt between Layla, and Samia and Nadia, while Mustafa destroys Abdel Ghaffar's house in protest of his marriage to his mother.

Nadia and Samia leave the house to stay with Abdel Hamid, in objection to having Layla in the house. Selim gets a ruling to take Layla's apartment.

As Selim seizes Layla's apartment, she decides to search for a lawyer to get it back. Abdel Ghaffar discovers that Selim gave up the apartment to the owner of the building.

Layla convinces Nadia, Samia, and Mustafa to return to live with her and Abdel Ghaffar. Samia avoids Galal because of his attempts to use her as a model in his paintings; meanwhile, she gets an opportunity to act.

Layla tries to convince Abdel Ghaffar to let Samia work as an actress, and he agrees. As Layla discovers her pregnancy, Mustafa is shocked to learn that she's pregnant.

Abdel Ghaffar changes his mind and tries to prevent Samia from acting after she signs the film contract, but she begins working as an actress against her father's wishes. Mustafa falsely accuses Abdel Ghaffar of repeatedly assaulting him.

Abdel Ghaffar finds Nadia's diary and discovers her love for a young man named Ahmed, who proposes to her, while Hazem proposes to Samia, and Layla gives birth to twins.
