As Fadwa stops hearing from her mother, she goes with Jamil to check on her, only to discover that she’s been depressed on account of an old love of hers, so the couple decide to stand by her to help her get through her crisis.
When Jamil travels with Fadwa on a belated honeymoon, leaving the children in charge of the house, they decide to throw a huge party at home, but when Jamil and Fadwa get back and find out what happened in their absence, Jamil decides to deal with them in a democratic way.

Sami is in low spirits due to his poor eyesight, so Jamil decides to accept an offer to give private lessons to pay for Sami's treatment, and hides the matter from Fadwa, who suspects that he’s having an affair.
On a winter night, Jamil recalls the memories of his youth, telling his kids about the night of the party where he met their mother, and how their relationship went through many ups and downs until they ended up getting married.
Jamil is obliged to sign for his absent neighbors’ sofa that turns out to have a thief hiding in it, but as the thief is taken by the warm family atmosphere, he reveals himself and decides to repent before the police arrest him.
Nada, Sami's teacher, asks students to write essays, and as Sami writes a fictitious story about his evil family that forces him to beg, Nada tries to take Sami away from them and raise him, only to discover the truth from Fadwa.
As the appliances break down in Jamil’s house one after another, Shakib turns to his friend Naseem, who works in maintenance; whereas Jamil discovers that the cause is fluctuating electrical loads, so he files a complaint at the ministry.
