Abdullah meets his wife Ibtisam very coldly after being away from home for a long time, while Hind wishes to have children with her husband Adel. Youssef and Marwa's wedding takes place, and Mohamed develops feelings for Nadia, his collegemate.
Ibtisam quarrels with Abdullah because he stays out late, and Marwa scolds Youssef for not following the modern art of conducting oneself in life.
Hind tells Ibtisam about her weak chance of giving birth. Abu Sultan tells his assistant of his old love for Marwa and grieves over her marriage to Youssef, and Mohamed confesses to Nadia his love for her.
Things get worse between Abdullah and Ibtisam, and she is forced to seek her family's help. Hind seeks the help of her neighbor, Amal's mother, to read her fortune so that she can give birth.
Abdullah refuses that Ibtisam return to work, and Nadia's mother tries to convince her to agree to marry the suitor who proposed to her, but she refuses because of her relationship with Mohamed.
Marwa refuses to have children with Youssef, while Hind follows Amal's mother's instructions to get pregnant. Nisreen and her friend try to exploit Mekki and have him write the university report on their behalf.
Adel gets angry when he discovers that Hind resorted to magic and quackery to give birth. Amal is taken to the hospital because she drank something prepared by her mother for magic. Youssef asks Marwa to cut down her expenses.
Abdullah beats Ibtisam, believing that she is having an affair, and she miscarries. Amal’s classmate informs her mother of her relationship with Mohamed.
Amal's mother prevents her daughter from going to university; Ibtisam refuses to return to Abdullah's house; Youssef quarrels with his wife because of her neglect of marital life.
The doctor tells Hind that she is pregnant; Abdullah refuses to divorce Ibtisam; Mohamed is saddened by Nadia's marriage to another man; Youssef tells Sarah that he regrets marrying Marwa.
Ibtisam's lawyer tries to convince Abdullah to agree to the divorce, and Marwa's father quarrels with Youssef because of his harsh treatment of her.
The doctor informs Adel of his wife Hind's condition and the difficulty of her continuing her pregnancy. Nadia's brothers quarrel with her over her relationship with Mohamed. Abdullah divorces Ibtisam, and Marwa's father dies.
Youssef loses important papers from Marwa's father's company. Adel tries to convince Hind to abort the fetus out of fear for her health, and Mohamed meets Nadia's siblings to ask for her hand in marriage.
Youssef offers to divorce Marwa in exchange for half of her father's wealth, but he discovers that Sarah has seized all the wealth, and he is arrested for embezzlement. Hind refuses to have an abortion.
Ibtisam agrees to return to Abdullah, but he discovers that he has AIDS. Mohamed dies in a tragic car accident. Hind goes into labor and is taken to the hospital in critical condition.
