A wife suffers from the mistreatment her mother-in-law, as she incites her son to beat his wife and sparks strife between them, while on the other side a young man, who loves theater and the arts, falls in love with a married woman, who is drawn to him because of his gentle treatment of her, as she takes refuge in his family's home after she flees from her husband's home.
