As Hamdo's wife falls ill and is treated by Dr. Hakim, Hamdo sends his daughter Narges to work in Hakim's house to pay off his debts. However, Hakim gives her a sleeping pill, rapes her, then accuses her of theft, so she runs away.
After several decades, Lotfi, Narges' uncle, dies and leaves behind a large fortune after he tells her brothers to search for her and that whoever finds her will receive a million dollars, so her brothers try to reach her.
Sahar, Narges' sister, is shocked by her husband's agreement with her brother to forge a death certificate for Narges, whom Abdullah takes after she runs away and is raised by the nanny Amina. Abdullah tries to return her to her family, but she refuses.
As Jawad and Munther search for Narges, Abdullah teaches Narges to read, and Ali bin Abdullah asks to marry Narges, but his father refuses. On the other hand, Ali asks his father to travel abroad.
As Hoda works to help her mother Hamida, Narges' sister, Jawad publishes an announcement about Narges' absence. Ali tells Jawad about Narges' marriage to his father Abdullah and changing her name to Nada.
Nada marries Saleh after Abdullah’s death, and Jawad and Munther go to Saleh to find out where their sister is, so he kicks them out. It becomes clear that Narges has been sending money to help her family with Suleiman without her father’s knowledge.
In the past, Amina warns Nada against marrying Saleh, but she loves him, and after she marries him, Saleh lies to her, seizes her money, and leaves the house.
Amina asks Jawad to look for Nada because she hasn’t seen her for 25 years. She also tells him that Nada works as a singer in a nightclub, and asks to see Hamida and Sahar, Nada’s sisters.
The British consul's wife describes Nada as a great singer, and Munir forces Saleh to give up his property to Nada. However, Nada is shot and Saleh is accused of trying to kill her.
Saleh continues to tell Munther’s wife, Kifah, about Nada after his release from prison and accuses Abu Abdo of trying to kill her, and Munir gives Nada gifts of jewelry.
Jawad goes to George to find out where Nada is, but he can't find her. George tells him that she asked the poet Omar Khairi to write a poem for her to sing. Amina notices Nada's admiration for Omar.
In the past, Nada likes Omar's poems, tells Amina about his flirting with her, quits singing, and suggests to Omar that he open a magazine. In the present, Jawad learns that Nada has contacted Sahar.
The newspaper opens under the name "Star of the East" and Omar tells Nada about his love for her. Sahar's husband, Muwaffaq, claims to have found Nada. She comes to the house and her brothers and their children gather, however, Jawad does not believe that she is his sister.
In the past, Nada holds a literary salon to find out the people’s opinions of the newspaper, Omar kicks Muzaffar from Nada’s house, and Hamida tries to talk to her sister, who evades the conversation.
The poets Omar and Muzaffar meet, and Rabab tells her aunt about her desire to become a singer like her. Jawad invites Amina to see her lifelong friend, and then they discover that Muwaffaq has brought someone to play the role of Nada in exchange for money.
Sahar leaves the house after Muwaffaq lies to her, and Jawad and Munther try to bring her back to her home. In the past, Omar is upset when Nada follows Muzaffar's poem, and Nada considers Omar a friend, not a lover.
George remembers the past and tells Jawad about Omar's love for Nada, who considers him a friend. Omar commits suicide because of his love for Nada. In the present, Rabab signs a singing contract without her family's knowledge.
George is still telling the story to Jawad, after Nada collapses and enters the hospital following Omar's death. She is then released, tells George of her regret, and closes the newspaper.
As Nada helps George after he loses his money in the stock market and visits Omar's grave, Hamida dies. On the other hand, Muzaffar hides in Nada's house after participating in the organization.
In the past, Muzaffar disguises himself as a woman and confesses his love to Nada. In the present, Kifah convinces Munther to borrow money from Saleh and sign checks. Muwaffaq writes a series about Nada.
In a flashback, George travels, and Amina warns Nada against marrying Muzaffar because the police are chasing him, but she marries him. In the present, Jawad searches for Muzaffar and does not find him.
In the past, Nada lives with Muzaffar in fear of being pursued by the organization. Nada receives a message from George about his opening of a new restaurant. In the present, Samir, Rabab's fiancé, warns her family about Raed and tells them of his fear of her pursuing the path of singing.
As Susan quarrels with Jawad for neglecting her and being interested in searching for his sister, Saleem quarrels with Rabab to stop singing, and Muwaffaq hits Saleem's son. Amina talks about finding pictures of political figures in Muzaffar's closet.
As Saleem leaves the house, Sahar asks Muwaffaq to bring her son back, and Rabab leaves Sameer. Amina tells Jawad about Nada's disappearance, and in a flashback, Nada asks for a divorce from Muzaffar after he kills a politician, and Nada is involved in a car accident
In the past, the police chase Muzaffar and he escapes. Nada enters the hospital and is then arrested for having political publications in her car and is imprisoned. She meets Hasnaa, and Amina searches for Nada without knowing that she is imprisoned.
Jawad visits Hasnaa to find out information about his sister. In the past, Amina and Suleiman visit Nada in prison. The prison warden, Hazem, tells Nada about her resemblance to his first love, Nages, and she remembers her first love before she ran away from home.
Saleem tells Muwaffaq to file a lawsuit to divorce Sahar from him. In the past, Hazem tells Nada that Muzaffar is arrested, and Nada is released from prison. In the present, Munther threatens Amina to find out where his sister is. Jawad hits Susan, so she leaves the house.
In the present, Sahar is depressed because of Muwaffaq's behavior, Jawad and Munther search for Hazem, and Rabab releases her first song. In the past, Nada travels to Tripoli to live with Hazem.
As Muwaffaq expels Saleem and Sahar, Susan asks for a divorce from Jawad, and Munther hits Hoda for going out a lot with Suhail. In the past, Hazem tells Nada that he still loves her and asks her to go to Damascus.
In 1982, Nada is shot and dies. In the present, Hazem tells Jawad that Nada died years ago. Raed breaks his contract with Rabab. Saleh asks Munther to pay his debt or he will marry Kifah, whom Munther kills. Muwaffaq goes crazy and asks lawyer Jawad to divide his wealth among his brothers.
