The events take place in Sidon, where Warda falls in love with Sharif, who works as a waiter in the cafe of his father, Shushu. She tries to make him jealous by agreeing to marry the old man Youssef. Sharif decides to travel on a ship, which causes his father's condition to deteriorate.
