The events take place in Sidon, where Warda falls in love with Sharif, who works as a waiter in the cafe of his father, Shushu. She tries to make him jealous by agreeing to marry Youssef, who is the same age as her father. Sharif quarrels with Youssef, and he tells Warda that he cannot marry her.

As Sharif looks for work as a sailor, Warda tells her mother, Najma, how much she cares about him. Warda tells Sharif she loves him after refusing to wed Youssef. He tells her he loves her but can't marry her because he wants to travel far away.

Saeed surprises Sharif with an opportunity to work as a sailor, but he rejects it because of his love for Warda. When Warda learns about this, she asks the ship captain to wait for Sharif, and Sharif spends the night next to Warda.

Najma sees Sharif and Warda in her room, so she goes to Shushu and asks that Sharif and Warda get married, and Warda helps Sharif travel.

Shushu learns of the news of his son Sharif's travel, and his psychological state worsens. Najma struggles to solve Warda's problem after Sharif left her, and Youssef still hopes to marry Warda.

Sharif sends a letter to Shushu informing him of his news and his approval of Warda’s marriage to Youssef. Warda faints after reading the letter.

When Warda discovers that she is pregnant by Sharif, Najma tries to kill her, but she changes her mind and decides to marry her to Youssef and register the child in his name without his knowledge.

Warda tells Youssef about the child and what happened between her and Sharif. Youssef marries Warda and agrees to register the child as his own. Shushu learns of the child, and he blesses Warda’s marriage to Youssef.

Warda gives birth to a boy and names him Nader. Sharif returns home and learns that the child is his. He demands that Youssef leave Warda and the child to him. Warda chooses to stay with Youssef, and Shushu prevents Youssef from staying in Sidon.

Twenty years pass, and Nader becomes a young man. Youssef dies after suffering from a severe illness, and Sharif and his friend, Masoud, open a car repair shop.

When Warda tells Nader the truth that Sharif is his real father, he goes to Shushu to reach his father. Shushu tells him that Sharif is in Beirut, so Nader goes to Sharif's workshop.

Nader meets Sharif, who tells him his story, but without Nader telling him that he is his son. Masoud, Sharif's friend, lies to Nader about Sharif working in the drug trade, so Nader asks Warda not to meet Sharif again.

Masoud acquits Sharif in front of Warda and Nader, so Nader goes to Sharif and takes him to meet Shushu. Shushu forgives Sharif, and he tells Sharif that Nader blesses his marriage to Warda.
