It centers around the jurist and scholar Wahab ibn Amr Al-Sayrafi, nicknamed Bahlol, who refused to be arrogant and became an ascetic in his humble home. With his foolishness, he confronted the Caliph and began to correct him in his paths. The Caliph loved Bahlol and he would seek him out in his most difficult times, using him as a relief for his worries, and benefiting from him wisdom.
