When Fahmy gets angry at Naji's refusal to sell his land, he incites the landworkers against Naji, but Zain disagrees with him. Fahmy appoints Waheed to take care of his land despite his recklessness. Zain gets angry at Ahmed's desire to marry Farida, who suffers from Waheed's harassment of her.

While Fahmy is traveling, Waheed brings a girl to the house, only for Zain to kick him out until Fahmy returns. Waheed warns Ahmed off approaching Farida. Safia refuses to wed Safi to Ahmed.

Fahmy lies to Zain, and tells him that Safi has got engaged to another suitor instead of Ahmed, which upsets Zain. Quarrels come about between Zain and Safia due to Waheed's harassment of Farida. Fahmy decides to expel Noshi.

Zain agrees that Ahmed gets engaged to Farida, but after Noshi refuses, Fahmy drives a wedge between them, while Noshi informs Ahmed that he wants Farida to complete her studies first. Fahmy sends Arabi to set fire to Naji's land.

Zain reconciles with Noshi and makes excuses for him. As Fahmy causes Naji to stumble over fixing his land, Arabi enters his house in his absence. Zain discovers that Fahmy is lying about Safi's engagement.

As Ahmed gets into a fight with Waheed because he hits on Farida, Safia ignites anger between the brothers and tries to hit Ahmed. Naji's wife helps him in cultivating his land. Fahmy fires Noshi from his work and asks him to leave the village.

After Naji hosts Noshi's family, he gets sick and is transferred to the hospital, after which Noshi entrusts Naji to take care of his daughter. Safia looks down her nose at Zakia during her visit to her. Fahmy tells Arabi about the plan of killing Naji.

Fahmy sends Arabi to kill Naji in exchange for his marriage to the maid, Mosheerah. Meanwhile, Zakia suggests on Safia that Safi gets engaged to Bahjat in order to prove her exaltedness to Zain.

Arabi hits Naji with an ax, while Fahmy is overseeing the wedding preparations, as well as being with Captain Hamdy, whom Fahmy has invited. Naji is taken to the hospital.

As the police announce the death of Naji, Fahmy warns Arabi off raising suspicions. Hamdy suspects Fahmy of the murder charges despite the lack of evidence. When Brigadier General Taher is summoned to investigate the incident, he arrives in disguise.

Taher works as a cleaner in the police station and a street vendor under the authority of Naeem. Noshi is released from the hospital. Safi intervenes to stop Waheed's harassment of Mosheerah.

Naeem collects information from the people of the village. Noshi mediates with Zain to help Naji's wife. Arabi breaks down in tears in front of Ahmed and informs him of his desire to stop working for Fahmy.

After Fahmy returns to prevent Noshi from taking the tractor, Zain comes face-to-face with him, disobeys his order and asks to separate their inheritance. Fahmy is filled with remorse and decides to wed Safi to Bahjat to retain the legacy.

After he claims homelessness, Naeem gets closer to Arabi and stays at his house. After Farida rebuffs Safi's haughtiness against her in front of their colleagues at the university, Waheed asks to marry her and then divorce her afterwards, but she turns down his request, which fills Fahmy with hatred.

Arabi tells Naeem what happened without letting him know that he is the killer. Waheed becomes disabled after he falls off the horse in a race with Ahmed. Fahmy blames Safia for what happened and tries to beat her, but she flees to the house of Naji's wife.

Fahmy is dubious about Arabi travelling with Naeem to Cairo without his permission. Zain and Fahmy force Bahjat and Safi to get engaged, which further tense relations between them.

Safia is surprised by Mounir's desire to marry Farida, which increases her jealousy of Farida. Arabi turns against Fahmy and refuses to obey his orders after Naeem's instigation to him and the dispersal of Fahmy's family.

The police interrogate Arabi about the murder, which leaves Fahmy unsettled. The relations between Zain's family and Fahmy's family return to normal and they end their conflicts. Waheed finds out the truth about his health condition.

Safi and Bahjat have feelings for each other. Taher arrests Fahmy after he kills Arabi and records his confession. Zain takes over managing the inheritance.
