Dewidar asks his wife Mahasin to turn down her promotion and to stay and take care of her children, but Mahasin insists on going to Upper Egypt and getting her promotion and tells Dewidar that he is jealous of her success.
Mahasin learns from the newspaper that her husband, Dewidar, has received a promotion and has become the chairman of his company's board of directors. Inayat tells Mahasin that her children feel unsettled without her and asks her to return to Cairo.
As Mahasin goes to her house to see her children, Dewidar meets her and greets her while he is angry at her. Mahasin gets angry at her husband's secretary, Engy, after she calls him at home.
Engy visits Mahasin at home to get to know her and her children. She helps her daughter Noha get a job at a hospital, and intervenes to get Ahmed, Dewidar's son, out of the police station.
Mahasin asks her husband to help her launch her own business after she quit her job. As Mahasin buys household supplies with a lot of money and makes her husband pay for them, he gets angry at her.
Dewidar invites his secretary, Engy, to a restaurant. When a suitor proposes to Noha, Dewidar and Mahasin agree, whereas Noha refuses, but she later agrees upon the insistence of her parents.
Noha receives a car as a gift from her fiancé, which makes her very happy. Dewidar asks his wife to avoid dealing with Engy, who gets Dewidar in trouble on account of his wife Mahasin.
When Mahasin sees a red handkerchief in her husband Dewidar's suit, she goes crazy and asks him for a divorce. Engy tries to get close to Dewidar after learning about his problem with his wife, Mahasin.
Dewidar gets close to Engy and repeatedly goes out with her. Dewidar beats Ahmed after seeing him come home late at night and accuses him of being undisciplined and irresponsible.
As Dewidar proposes to Engy, she agrees and marries him. Adel learns that his brother, Ahmed, is a drug addict.
One of the company's workers tells Mahasin that Dewidar has taken another wife. When Mahasin learns that Dewidar married Engy, she visits them at home and quarrels with them, after which she files a divorce and alimony lawsuit against Dewidar.
Dewidar learns that his son, Ahmed, is a drug addict, and as he ascertains that Engy deals in drugs and currency, he reports her to the police. When Ahmed asks his father and mother to return to each other, they agree.
