The researcher Ragheb reports the disappearance of a number of injections containing radioactive radium from his lab. The journalist Bahgat contact him for information, but Ragheb refuses and starts hallucinating. Bahgat calls Dr. Nagwa to examine Ragheb, who imagines that he has a brain tumor.
Nagwa's uncle, Dr. Mostafa, notices that Ragheb's brain is enlarged and deduces that something in his brain has sharpened his hearing. As Ragheb marries Mary, he refuses to let Dr. Mostafa follow up on his case, but the doctor insists on treating him.
Dr. Mostafa learns that Ragheb's wife, Mary, had an ailment of the brain. Ragheb claims that Mary is still ill and injects her with a medication that causes her to pass out. Mostafa continues to try to solve the mystery surrounding Ragheb.
When Mostafa visits Ragheb's house, he finds Mary hallucinating before she passes away. Mostafa finds brain cells and books about reincarnation in Ragheb's lab. As Mostafa considers performing an autopsy on Mary, the body gets stolen. Ragheb injects his servant with a radioactive substance.
As Ragheb's servant, Sentrisi, slips into a state of delirium, Ragheb writes down everything he says. Mostafa warns Sentrisi after he learns that Ragheb is claiming to be treating his hair. Ragheb injects himself with the drug.
Ragheb kills the watchman Eweida and takes off his head before disposing of the body. When Sentrisi plots to allow Mostafa to sneak into Ragheb's lab, Ragheb threatens the servant and his wife. Mostafa reports everything to the police, leaving the officer to devise a plan to uncover Ragheb's crimes.
Ragheb admits to Mostafa that he is researching a way to awaken the sleeping part of the brain and connect spirits and time. As Mostafa decides to aid Ragheb, Bahgat informs the police. Mostafa injects himself with the drug. When the lab blows up, Mostafa and Ragheb die in the explosion.
