Warrant Officer Mejahid asks his daughter's fiancé, Officer Samy, to approve the citizens' documents. When Officer Ali inspects a murder scene, the only witness, Shukry, points to Warrant Officer Mejahid and accuses him of murder.

The prosecutor orders for Shukry to be taken out of the room and for Mejahid to be included among possible suspects for the witness to identify. As Shukry gets called back in, he singles out Mejahid again, leaving the prosecutor to order Mejahid's arrest pending investigation.

As Mejahid gets released on bail, Sona enlists his help and tells him the story of her incarcerated husband who left her some money. Mejahid asks Abdu to take Sona's money and invest it in his trade.

Officer Ali questions Dalal, AKA Sona, about the case and summons her to his office for a confrontation with the killer. Mourad blackmails Dalal after he saw her holding the murder weapon after he committed the crime.

Mejahid informs Mokhtar and Effat that he met Shukry, who assured him that he will confess that Mejahid is innocent. Sona gets close to Mejahid and tries to get information from him about her murdered husband, Rafaat.

Dalal and Shukry discover that her husband Rafaat has been corresponding with Mejahid. Mourad steals the paper that Rafaat had sent to Mejahid. Officer Ali summons the thief Abdu and informs him that Dalal and Sona are the same person.

When Mourad visits Mejahid and finds Sona there, he informs Mejahid that he has the paper that Rafaat sent to Mejahid; the news causes Mejahid to lose his temper.

When Abdu informs Mokhtar that Sona is actually Dalal, the wife of the late Rafaat, Mokhtar decides to tell his father about it but reconsiders at the last minute. Officer Ali concludes that Mejahid is innocent and that everything that has happened was a plot by Dalal, Mourad, and Shukry.

Mourad informs Effat that he has evidence against Mejahid, bargaining with her to get her to marry him or he will tell the police. Effat surprises everyone when she agrees to marry Mourad.

Dalal tells Officer Ali that Mourad is holding the evidence that has her prints on it over her head, confessing the truth about what happened on the night of the murder. Mejahid learns that Sona is actually Dalal.

As Shukry visits Mejahid and confesses that he made a mistake by testifying against him, Mejahid asks him to repeat what he said in front of Officer Ali, only for Shukry to backtrack while meeting with Ali. Ali grows suspicious of Shurky when he learns that he is the one who went to Mejahid, not vice versa.

A lawyer visits Dalal to inform her that she is not the only heir to her husband's fortune since Rafaat had a daughter. Abdu prevents Mourad and Effat from getting married after he bashes his head against a wall, causing the police to arrive; Abdu accuses Mejahid of beating him to sabotage the marriage.

Mejahid recounts his story to the officer, revealing that Effat is actually Rafaat's daughter whom Mejahid took in to raise after Rafaat went to France. Dalal discovers that Shukry is the real killer. Effat learns that Rafaat is her father.
