Three religious saints flee a tyrannical ruler and hide in a cave for three centuries, waking up in another time. Each of them had his own life and his own family with whom he lived. All of that has ended, and they realize that the meaning of life has escaped them. They feel isolated and lonely in this new period and want to return to the cave, choosing death over their new existence, which they cannot accept.
