Set in the fifties, the events follow two brothers; Ghaith bin Daen, a greedy and domineering timber merchant, and Matar, a land broker who is content with his life. A conflict arises after Ghaith tries to seize his brother Matar’s inheritance, leading to a vendetta between the children.
