Umm Obaid (Obaid's mother) is upset that her husband, Matar, left his right to the money of his brother Ghaith, who owns everything and uses it to enslave people. Ghanem files a report at the police station accusing Ghaith of not giving him his payment for his work with him.
Abu Oyoun takes revenge on the shipmaster and sinks his boat. Ghaith quarrels with Matar and rebukes his wife, Umm Obaid, for her mistreatment of Aousha. Ghaith asks Naseeb to burn Ghanem's crop.
Umm Obaid rages at her son after he left the sailors. Matar advises Ghanem to sell his land.
Sheikha becomes attached to Obaid, while he loves Halima, and the police detain Surur at the police station after his quarrel with Ghaith. Umm Obaid decides to help the shipmaster get his boat back so that Obaid can work with him.
As Ghaith falls ill, Naseeb takes advantage of his illness and makes him sign over his property to himself. Obaid promises Halima that he will ask for her hand in marriage.
Obaid asks his father to ask his uncle Ghaith for his right or file a lawsuit against him. Ghaith is taken to the hospital in critical condition after a quarrel with Obaid and Matar. Naghmoush blackmails Naseeb and threatens to expose him if he does not wed his sister to him.
Naseeb discovers that Halima has stolen the papers of transferring the ownership of Ghaith's land, and the latter dies in the hospital. Seif asks his mother that he betroth Shamsa.
Aousha decides to burn the debt record after Ghaith's death, and Sheikha blames her father's death on Obaid and his father and asks them to stay away from her.
Shamsa tells Sheikha of her engagement to Obaid, who refuses to finalize his engagement because of his love for Sheikha. Surur succeeds in inciting the shipmaster against Obaid to make him refuse to partner up with him on the boat.
Naghmoush agrees with Brooke to falsely claim that the warehouse was robbed. Seif returns from travel and asks Naseeb to hand over to him all of his late father's accounts.
Seif insists on paying the price of his father's shroud to his uncle, Matar. Shamsa tells Sheikha of Obaid's love for her.
Naghmoush tries to convince his sister, Halima, to kill Naseeb and get rid of him. Hamdoun arouses suspicion in Seif's heart that Obaid killed his father, Ghaith, so he reports him to the police.
The café's busboy tells Matar that Surur and Hamdoun have caused his son to go to prison. Seif takes over his father's business and becomes, like him, an exploiter of people's livelihoods.
Matar falls ill and is taken to the hospital. Seif and Obaid quarrel over the shroud of Ghaith, and Seif insists on paying its price to his uncle. Sheikha asks her brother, Seif, to end the enmity between him and his uncle forever.
As Matar dies, Obaid refuses to accept a shroud from Seif in exchange for his father Ghaith's shroud. The Indian forces capture Abu Shamsa (Shamsa's father) and put him in prison.
Shamsa keeps looking for her father and asks Obaid to do the same. At the same time, Shamsa asks her aunt to put a stop to the enmity between her and Aousha.
Umm Obaid asks her son to raise the money for his maternal uncle Abu Shamsa's bail. Naseeb tells Naghmoush that his sister is pregnant and asks him to give him the paper of the transfer of the ownership of Ghaith's property to him.
Seif tells Surur of his wish to ask for Shamsa's hand in marriage. The Indian officer tells Obaid that Abu Shamsa is accused of hiding the gold in the ship he was working on.
Naseeb steals the ownership transfer paper from Naghmoush. Aousha agrees to her son's marriage to Shamsa.
Naseeb discovers that the ownership transfer paper is forged. Farhan tells Surur that he caused the sinking of Obaid's boat. Surur advises Seif to pay Abu Shamsa's bail so that he can own Shamsa's heart.
Shamsa is forced to agree to marry Seif in exchange for his paying her father's bail. Naseeb presents the paper that proves that he owns Ghaith's house to the police and demands that Seif hand over the house to him.
Naseeb kicks Seif and his family out of the house, and the latter loses all his money and is forced to look for work, but Surur refuses to hire him to work for him.
Abu Oyoun becomes blind and suffers from a contagious disease, and everyone refuses to go near him. Obaid pays his maternal uncle's bail and takes him to the hospital in critical condition. Sheikha suggests leaving the neighborhood, which her mother refuses before paying the price of the shroud.
Naghmoush becomes paralyzed after Surur and Hamdan stole all his money. Seif tells Shamsa that he lost all the money he had had in his possession in trade.
Seif is forced to work for Naseeb. The police arrest Surur. Ten years later, Naseeb divorces Halima and kicks her and her daughter out of the house. Naseeb is killed, and Seif is accused of killing him. Aousha loses her mind.
