Kayed is forced to take his mother and sister Fadda and leave the town due to the tyranny and oppression of his cousin Fawzan, whose wife Salma is trying to have children. Salem offers Kayed a place to stay in his house until he finds work.
As Salem helps Kayed get a job and hosts him in his home with his family until he builds a house, Salem is impressed by Fadda and proposes to her, and her brother Kayed agrees and decides to invite his cousins to attend the wedding.
Fawzan desires to marry Fadda so that she can bear him a child, which breaks Salma’s heart. Kayed agrees in exchange for paying a large sum of money as a dowry for his sister, and Fadda falls ill after leaving Salem.
Salem defies everyone and decides to marry Fadda no matter the cost. Hael tells his wife about the location of a treasure that his brother Fawzan is hiding in the ground. Fawzan agrees with Kayed and Hael to kill Salem and pay his blood money if necessary.
Fadda and Fawzan's wedding is held, but Fadda falls ill and the marriage is postponed. Noura tries to keep Salem away from the evil of Kayed and his family.
As Abu Nizar seeks Salem’s help to solve the irrigation problem in the village, Umm Salem suggests that her son marry Noura, and Fawzan suspects that Fadda is faking illness to avoid the marriage.
As Salem proposes to Noura, Noura tries to find out news about Fadda from Abu Rafea, who suggests that Saleh participates in the fish-selling project, and Saleh quarrels with his brother Fawzan because he refuses to give him his share of their father’s inheritance.
Saleh complains to Soad about Fawzan seizing his inheritance from his father, and Noura tells Salem about Fadda’s illness and her refusal to marry Fawzan.
Fawzan tells Hayel about his love for Fadda, and Noura decides to stay away from Salem because he still loves Fadda. The village is exposed to a flood of river water, and many people die, including Umm Kayed.
Abu Nizar asks Salem to help him with the farming, Fawzan asks Abu Rafea not to help Saleh sell fish, and Fawzan insists on Kayed working as a laborer for him again.
Saleh asks for Souad's hand in marriage, and Salma urges Fadda to run away with Salem so they can get married, but Salem rejects the idea and decides to proceed with his marriage to Noura. At the same time, Hayel agrees with Kayed to kill Salem to gain Fawzan's approval.
Salma tells Fawzan about Fadda's plan to escape with Salem, but Fawzan discovers Salma's deception, and Kayed shoots Salem.
The police investigate Salem's murder and the disappearance of his body, and it turns out that he is still alive and is being treated by Abu Rafea without the knowledge of the villagers.
As Salem regains his health and refuses to accuse Kayed of trying to kill him, Fadda tries to escape, but Fawzan reaches her.
As Saleh decides to leave everything and travel, Salma announces to Fawzan that she is pregnant, Kayed gets angry because Fawzan’s goal of marrying Fadda no longer exists, and Abu Nizar dies.
Fawzan forces Fadda to work as a maid for Salma based on Salma's wishes, and Salem marries Noura.
As Fawzan is shocked after the doctor tells Salma that her pregnancy is fake, Noura dies while giving birth in the hospital, and Fawzan locks up Rafea and beats him.
Abu Rafea frees his son and quarrels with Fawzan, Rafea asks Fadda to marry him and then kills Fawzan. Kayed tries again to kill Salem, but Salem catches him and imprisons Kayed.
