Things are always tense between Abu Rashid (Rashid's father) and his wife Noura, as the two differ in everything, including their way of managing the house and raising the children. Abu Rashid is angry about the recklessness of his son Fahd, while Rashid takes care of his sick wife Suad in the hospital.
Munira always complains to her father Abu Rashid that her husband Badr does not care about the house or their children, until this caused his young son to be placed in a reformatory, while her mother, Noura, always stands by her husband Badr and supports him in his decisions against Munira.
Problems remain between Munira and her husband regarding the bringing up of their son. Noura opposes her daughter and does not support her against her husband. Rashid's wife dies, so Hanan's brother tries to make her get closer to Rashid.
Rashid accepts condolences following his wife's death, while Fawzi tries to persuade her sister to take advantage of the matter in order for her to coax Rashid. Badr smuggles goods.
Rashid marries Hanan without his father's consent, and his daughter tries to drive a wedge between them.
Fahd quarrels with his friends, and they beat him. Badr continues to work in smuggling, and his wife rejects his money.
Badr decides to buy the grocery store in order to hide his work in smuggling. Fahd asks his mother to give him money so that he'd travel without his father's knowledge, while Abu Rashid tries to dissuade his son from taking care of his daughter.
Munira resents her husband's drunkenness, and Rashid refuses to take his daughter Fattouh to his new wife's house.
Badr asks Munira to store the adulterated liquor at home, while Hanan begins to treat Fattouh badly.
Rashid quarrels with Badr over his illegal trade. As Fahd gets attracted to a group that claims to apply Sharia and religion, he starts objecting to everything in the house.
Hanan suggests that her brother Fawzi marry Fattouh. Fahd continues to apply Sharia according to his personal desires and the teachings of his group.

The policemen arrest Badr at the airport with drugs in his possession, so Munira asks for a divorce. Hanan tries to convince Rashid to buy a factory and appoint Fawzi as its manager.

Abu Rashid convinces Munira that she return to his home after Badr's imprisonment. Badr's partner thinks of marrying Munira.
After Rashid agrees to Fattouh's marriage to Fawzi, Fahd warns Rashid of Fawzi and his sister and their greed for his money.
Fahd gets to know his new boss after the arrest of his former boss, the head of the group. Hanan asks Rashid to grant Fawzi a power of attorney to manage the factory, but he discovers that they agreed together to seize his money.
Noura offers Munira a bail to get Badr out of prison. Hanan asks Rashid to grant her a power of attorney, but he discovers her manipulation.
Rashid discovers that Hanan has given her brother Fawzi checks from his personal account. Munira thinks of getting back together with Badr if he gets out of prison.
Rashid divorces Hanan, and Fattouh agrees to marry Fahd's boss. Badr is released from prison and gets back together with his wife. Abu Rashid tries to take his family under his wing again, accompanied by his wife, Noura.
