When Samia goes to the General Intelligence Directorate, she meets Adel to whom she recounts her trip to Italy where someone offered her a lucrative job in a news agency, an offer that raised Samia's suspicions. Adel confronts Samia with the fact that she met Nabil in Italy.

Samia tells Adel how she met Nabil in college and how his father's mistreatment and her mother's rejection drove him to go to Germany. Samia hides from Adel the fact that she married Nabil before he left. Farid proposes to Samia but she refuses.

Nabil meets Engy who gets him a job and an apartment. Frederick has some men steal Nabil's passport to gather more information for Isaac. Isaac finds a photo of Samia in Nabil's passport. Samia goes to the front lines for an interview and gets injured.

Frederick's machinations get Nabil kicked out of his apartment. As Nabil runs out of money after getting fired, he meets Abu Selim who promises to find him a job. As Abu Selim disappears, Frederick returns and leaves Nabil a letter.

Frederick tells Nabil that he was imprisoned and that Isaac helped to secure his release. Frederick offers Nabil to join him in dealing drugs. Nabil discovers that Abu Selim is Frederick's boss. Abu Selim tells Nabil to stay in his apartment. Mossad learns that Shlomo made contact with Nabil.

Abu Selim reprimands Nabil for disobeying his orders. Shlomo asks Levi to gather information about Samia. Shlomo informs Louise that Nabil is their target. Abu Selim informs Nabil that he is opening a tourism company as a cover for their work, and asks about his relationship with Samia.

Nabil starts working at a tourism company and meets Shirley. The men of the Intelligence Directorate monitor Nabil. Abu Selim has Nabil sign a third promissory note.

Nabil and Shirley grow close. Abu Selim has Nabil put a bag in a safe. Frederick monitors Nabil and notices that an Arab guy is watching Nabil. Adel sees a bag that resembles the one that Nabil had on the bus.

Adel confirms that Nabil is undergoing a controlled training. Roshdy offers Nabil a job that will bring him back to Egypt. Nabil goes out with Shirley and fails to leave a new bag in the safe. When he is arrested, Abu Selim arranges for him to be released and hits him.

Abu Selim takes Nabil to Frankfurt and gets him a Greek passport under the name George Papadopoulos. Adel learns that Samia is looking for Nabil. Samia meets Shirley and inquires about Nabil. Adel tries to figure out who Samia is.

Adel has Frederick, Louise, and Isaac put under surveillance. Abu Selim takes Nabil to Italy. Shlomo goes to Israel and leaves Nabil locked up in Ezra's villa. Adel's men find Frederick and try to get information about Nabil.

The Prime Minister wants an example to be made of Frederick. When Adel asks Frederick for information about Nabil, he asks for twenty-five thousand dollars. Louise kills Frederick. When Adel learns that Isaac has disappeared, he expects to find Shirley gone as well.

Adel is questioned about the failure of the Hamburg operation. Ezra and his men beat Nabil who tries to escape after Ezra comes onto him. Adel learns that Samia is an Egyptian journalist.

As Rashel teaches Nabil Italian, he learns that she is an Israeli and that she and her husband Ezra work for the Agency. Abu Selim tells Nabil that the Agency wants him to work for the Israeli Intelligence to pay off the price of the drugs. Ezra asks Nabil to help him have a baby with Rashel.

Nabil starts working at a car dealership in Italy and writes reports about the Arabs he comes in contact with. Abu Selim sends Nabil to Egypt to bring Samia to Italy. Adel has Nabil monitored after he arrives in Egypt.

Nabil gets the promissory note from Abu Selim and burns it. Samia and Nabil go out to dinner and meet the journalist Garzini who offers Samia a job in Adrian Thompson's news agency.

Samia meets Adrian who tells her of his ambitions for his news agency and offers her a lot of money. Samia's purse is stolen and she is forced out of the hotel after Nabil disappears. Adrian pays for the hotel as Nabil returns with a car for Samia.

Adrian tells Samia that he needs her to be secretive as she gets him information. Shlomo takes the information that Samia provided. Adrian asks Samia to send the information she gathers in a letter with Nabil's name. Samia passes out when Adel shows her photos of Nabil and Adrian.

Adel learns that Samia is pregnant. Mokhtar asks Samia to show Adel that Nabil is not a spy. Adel tells Samia that the Mossad wants her to work for them and that she is the key to bringing down Nabil and the spy network. Nabil sends Samia a letter telling her that Adrian is asking about her.

Adel asks Samia to write to Adrian. Samia tells Adel that she married Nabil before he went to Germany. When Adrian asks Samia to come to him with the news, she asks Mokhtar to help her get out of her new assignment. Samia considers having an abortion.

Adel confronts Samia about her pregnancy. When Abdel Qader dies, Samia decides to aid the Intelligence Directorate. Samia gets an abortion. Adel trains Samia and gives her information to give to Adrian.

Samia goes to Rome and refuses to stay in the hotel they picked for her. Shlomo asks Adrian to go see Samia. When Nabil tells Abu Selim that he is with Samia, Abu Selim has people search Samia's room.

Samia tells Adrian that the information she got is a matter of national security and can not be published. As she asks for a new contract and higher salary, Shlomo starts to suspect her, especially after she tells them that she has memorized the information instead of writing it down.

Samia tells Adel about her meeting with Adrian. As Shlomo and Adrian prepare to travel to Israel, Samia sees them. Shlomo asks Levi to have people affirm the validity of the information Samia brought. Samia urges Mokhtar to marry Ekbal.

Samia discovers that she is still pregnant. Adrian tells Samia that the director of the news agency wants to meet her. As Samia is trained to fool a polygraph, she learns that the Israelis have bombed a primary school called Bahr El-Baqar.

Samia questions Adel about her involvement in the bombing. Samia goes to Rome and Adrian takes her on a private plane to the Alps. When she meets Mickael, they discuss Bahr El-Baqar and she tells him that she visited the school with a photographer to record the tragedy.

Samia tells Mickael that she wants to work for him because she wants peace, which Gamal Abdel Nasser stands in the way of. Adrian takes the information that Samia brought about the Egyptian missiles to Israel. Samia asks to see Nabil.

Nabil tries to convince Samia not to work with Abu Selim. When Samia goes to meet Adel, Nabil sees her going out, which raises his suspicions. As Louise is ordered to interrogate Samia, Nabil tells Samia that he knows that she is working with the Intelligence Directorate.

Samia grows angry when Shirley insists that she take a polygraph test. Nabil takes copies of the documents he finds in Isaac's office. Nabil takes Samia out to dinner but Abu Selim, Shirley, and Isaac follow them.

When Shirley sees Samia with Adel, Nabil overhears her telling Abu Selim and tries to escape with Samia. They are caught and Nabil is killed. Samia is sedated and put in a box to be shipped to Israel, but the Intelligence Directorate switches the box with another that has Louise.
