Shalash quarrels with Nagia about how to raise their children. Nadia has trouble with her son Ramy after her husband travels abroad. Sahar runs her small business by selling sandwiches in front of the university. Mahmoud proposes to Layla, but her parents reject him because he works in the circus.

Mahmoud asks Layla's brother, Nabil, to support his endeavor to marry his sister. Nagia is upset by the way her husband's secretary, Qawt Al-Qulub, treats her. Hisham is arrested while going with his friends to Alexandria.

Shalash finds out that Hisham took his car without his knowledge. After Hisham is released, his father punishes him. Sahar decides to rent the roof of the house to complete her project.

Shalash and Nagia agree to marry their daughter, Layla, to Mahmoud. Shalash and Nagia fight after Nagia suspects that something is going on between him and Qawt Al-Qulub. Hisham's friends prank him and make him think that his friend, Inas, loves him.

Shalash breaks his leg after falling into a ditch, and a friendship develops between him, Master Azqalani, the driver Fathy, and Dr. Ahmed. Nagia resents that Shalash has invited his new friends and their wives over. Shalash and his family quarrel after he stays at home to recover.

Hisham finds out that Inas doesn't really love him. Nabil asks his mother to help him find a job for him and his fiancée Olfat so that they can get married.

Nagia is upset by Azqalani and Fathy's visit while her manager is there and she has a nervous breakdown. Nadia's mother-in-law is taken to the hospital. Sahar and her friend get into a fight after her food gives someone food poisoning.

Dr. Ahmed offers to help Sahar with her project. Shalash gets acquainted with a group of female neighbors who offer him some sweets, which upsets Nagia, and she breaks the dishes to end this friendship.

Alaa returns from abroad, and Nadia tries to persuade him not to go back and to ask his mother to give him some money to start a project. Layla travels with Mahmoud, and Medhat gives Sahar a small gift to express his love.

Shalash removes his cast and returns to work. Nagia kicks Azqalani and Fathy out of the house. Nabil and Olfat return from their honeymoon. Alaa's mother gives him money so that he will not travel again.

Sahar tries to reconcile Hisham with Inas. Nagia decides to retire and care for her husband and family more. She discovers Sahar's food project, and everyone revolts against her, but she manages to convince them of it. Layla has a miscarriage.

Nagia surprises her husband with a trip on the beach to reflect on their memories together. Sahar and Medhat grow closer. Layla finds out that she can't have children and Mahmoud is sad.

Shalash and Nagia decide to help Alaa with his new project and partner up with him. Layla fights with her sister, Nadia, because she refused to let her son Ramy stay over. Medhat proposes to Sahar. Layla is pregnant and Qawt Al-Qulub confesses her love for Shalash.

Hisham marries Inas behind her parents' back. Shalash dreams of marrying Qawt Al-Qulub and she waits for him to celebrate her birthday. Inas hides at Shalash's house after her parents notify the police.

Shalash reconciles with Inas' family and Inas runs away. Alaa and Nabil turn to Shalash to help them get back the agricultural land seized by the government. Medhat tells Sahar to expedite their marriage for his travel on a fellowship. Shalash decides not to marry Qawt and stays with his family.
