The father encounters problems at work, the most important of which is being accused of taking bribes, and he loses his job. After the children grow up, the father decides to marry Nahed, hoping to take her money, in a repetition of his first marriage to Umaima. He has children with her and lives with her in an atmosphere of misery, which leads to a third marriage later in life.
