After the death of her mother, Tawfika, Nazli suffers from the interference of her father, Abdur Rahim Pasha, in her marriage and divorce from Khalil. Nazli gets engaged to Saeed, a relative of Saad Zaghloul. Nazli is surprised by the exile of Saad Zaghloul, with whom Saeed travels.
Saeed's news is cut off, and King Fuad appoints Abdur Rahim as governor of Cairo. Later on, the king marries Nazli, and she gives birth to Farouk and Fawzia. Nazli suffers from the king's mistreatment of her.
At the age of fourteen, Farouk becomes the governor of Upper Egypt. Nazli sends Princess Fawkia to Paris after imposing her control over the king. The British Foreign Office requests that the Crown Prince travel to London to complete his studies, and Nazli requests that Hassanein Bey go with him.
When Fuad dies, and Nazli seeks that Farouk rule despite his young age, she cooperates with Shivakiar Khanum and the family to support Farouk's taking over. Farouk returns to Egypt.
Hassanein seeks to get close to Nazli by supporting Farouk to take over the throne. As Farouk visits all the governorates of Egypt to get closer to the people, he enjoys the support of the people and visits the countries of Europe in order for him to be recognized as the new ruler of Egypt.
Farouk informs Nazli of his desire to marry Vivette rather than the princesses of the family. Farouk takes over and grants Hassanein the Pasha title with the support of Nazli. El-Nahas Pasha violates all of the king's orders. Nazli is given the title of the "Queen Mother." Farouk marries Vivette.
El-Nahas Pasha is dismissed. As Vivette is upset with Queen Nazli, she asks Farouk that they leave the Koubbeh Palace and settle in Abdeen Palace. A relationship develops between Hassanein and Nazli, and Farouk has a daughter named Farial. Nazli agrees to Fawzia's marriage to Mohammad, Iran's prince.
Farouk sends Youssef Pasha, Farida's father, to be Egypt's ambassador to Iran. Fawzia is granted Iranian citizenship, and Shivakiar Khanum tasks someone to spy on Nazli and Hassanein. As Fawzia's marriage to Mohammad takes place, Nazli is still worried about the marriage.
As Farouk receives news about Hassanein's visits to his mother's ward without his knowledge, Lutfia, Hassanein's wife, is suspicious of her husband's relationship with Nazli. Later on, Nazli is surprised by the news of Fawzia's pregnancy.
Vivette gives birth to Fawzia. Abdeen Palace is besieged by the British due to the king's disagreements with them. Meanwhile, Nazli denies her relationship with Hassanein in front of the king, and Hassanein divorces his wife.
Hassanein resigns from his position, and the emperor of Iran is exiled. In the meantime, Nazli and Farouk's relationship is strained because of Hassanein. Shivakiar seeks to marry Princess Fawzia to Rauf, one of her relatives, and Nazli travels to Iran because of Fawzia's illness.
Fawzia returns to Egypt, Shivakiar controls Farouk, and Riyad seeks to work in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Meanwhile, Hassanein and Nazli agree to marry, and Vivette is divorced from Farouk.
While Nazli seeks to convince Farouk of her marriage to Hassanein, Shivakiar seeks to kill Hassanein. Nazli collapses after Hassanein's death. Elsewhere, Riyad is promoted to work at the Consulate of Egypt in Marseille, while Nazli arranges to travel abroad for treatment.
Nazli, Faika, and Fathia travel abroad for treatment, and Riyad gets closer to Fathia. As Nazli's condition worsens, the doctors ask her to travel to America for treatment. Riyad informs Nazli that the court is spying on her for the benefit of the king.
A relationship arises between Riyad and Fathia, and the king fails to aid Palestine in its war. The king terminates the Muslim Brotherhood, and Nazli’s operation succeeds. When Farouk discovers the truth about Riyad, he orders his murder and the deportation of his mother and siblings to Egypt.
Riyad survives being shot, and Nazli and the girls settle in America after Nazli relinquishes her titles and changes her name to Mary Elizabeth. As Riyad steals from Nazli's accounts, Farouk discovers Faika's relationship with Sadek, and he thinks of exiling his mother.
When Nazli refuses Farouk's conditions, he orders her exile. Faika marries Sadek, and when Riyad declares his conversion to Islam, he expresses his desire to marry Fathia. Elsewhere, Fawkia seeks to persuade Farouk to withdraw the titles and declare his mother legally incompetent.
A relationship develops between Larus and Nazli. The attempt to kidnap Fathia fails, and she marries Riyad. The titles are officially withdrawn and they are deprived of their property. Later on, the press attacks Larus's relationship with Nazli, as he is married, and Sherif's health deteriorates.
Farouk pardons Faika and Sadek to return to Egypt. Nazli is surprised by Faika's desire to return to Egypt, and Farouk marries someone from outside the noble families.
Nazli learns that there are movements in the army against the king. Farouk has a newborn son, Ahmad Fuad, and refuses to obey his mother's advice. As Nazli invests her money in America, she is surprised that Egypt is in the midst of a revolution.
As Farouk moves to Ras El Tin Palace and abdicates the throne, the army controls the country. Farouk travels to Rome, and Nazli files a lawsuit to retrieve her money.
Riyad's father is killed. As the property of all princes and royals is confiscated, they are given 200 acres each. The Egyptian government does not recognize Fathia's children as her marriage is illegitimate. Later on, a relationship develops between Faiza and a member of the Revolutionary Council.
Riyad persuades Nazli to partner up with Lomi and Edwin in fake projects. Faiza's jewelry is stolen. Nazli signs on to write her memoirs, and Riyad's mother, Galila, goes to live in America.
As Nazli is surprised to learn the truth about Edwin and Lomi from Larus, an arrest warrant is issued for Edwin with the help of Larus. Later on, Faiza travels to America for her mother, Nazli's money is depleted, and Farouk dies.
Riyad develops an addiction to gambling and alcohol, and he assaults Nazli and Fathia. Elsewhere, Lomi seeks to seize Nazli's jewelry. Shahnaz pays Nazli's debts, and Nazli and Fathia leave the house after Riyad's assault.
As Edwin controls Riyad to make him seize Nazli's jewelry, Riyad takes a loan from the bank with the guarantee of the jewelry under a false power of attorney. Nazli collapses as she is threatened with imprisonment, and Fathia files for divorce.
After the bank seizes Nazli's property, Fathia works as a maid in hotels. Riyad's property is seized, and Larus is still trying to communicate with Nazli. Later on, Riyad's health deteriorates after his arrest.
Fathia loses her job. Larus goes to Nazli at the auction and buys the jewelry for her and opens a tourism company for Fathia. Galila dies. Lomi files a case against Nazli for unpaid checks, and his daughter dies.
Sadat responds to Nazli's letter to help her return to Egypt. When Riyad learns about Fathia's decision to return to Egypt, he asks her to visit his house for the last time before she travels, and he kills her. Meanwhile, Nazli worries about Fathia's absence.
When Riyad tries to commit suicide, his children discover him being shot and the death of their mother in his house. Nazli collapses over the news of Fathia's death, and Lomi waives his dues for Nazli. Riyad is executed, and Nazli dies before returning to Egypt.
