Jumana's husband Alaa shoots her. Ghada's husband arrives while Aous is with her, so the latter flees and leaves his cell phone behind. Aous's wife leaves her house and goes to her brother Samy. Aous's mother questions Shady about her son's whereabouts.

Jumana admits to killing Alaa with his own gun. Sherine quarrels with her daughter Shams when she discovers that she is smoking cannabis. Alaa's mother vows revenge on Jumana. Rania asks Samy to help her get a divorce from Aous.

Alaa's mother tells the investigator that Jumana was cheating on her son. Rania insists on getting a divorce. Sherine fires an actor and looks for a new lead for her film. Aous leaves the hotel to escape Engy's advances.

Jumana confesses to killing Alaa. Shams grows close to her professor and asks for private lessons. Aous gets a forged passport. Alaa's mother tries to uncover the truth of her son's murder.

Aous's mother is saddened by his sudden departure. Jumana is transferred to prison. Alaa's mother insists that Jumana killed her son because he caught her with her lover. Karim, Shams's father, asks Sherine to resolve their issues for their daughter's sake.

Sherine runs into Aous at a cafe and asks him to star in her film. Karim considers allying with Sherine's enemies. Aous meets Makram and asks him for help after he was robbed. Jumana passes out and gets transferred to the prison hospital.

Hayfaa breaks down when her brother Aous informs her that he won't be coming back. Hayfaa tries to talk to Alaa's mother about Jumana but she kicks her out. The film producer is angry with Sherine for the delay in filming but she insists on having Aous as the lead.

Aous tries to pass on the part but Sherine insists that he reconsiders. Aous thinks that Aida was killed. Hayfaa hires a lawyer for Jumana. Rania leaves her brother's house and sells her jewelry to rent an apartment.

Shams falls ill and Sherine checks up on her. Jumana tells the lawyer that she didn't kill Alaa. Sherine visits Aous to convince him to take the part.

Aous agrees to work with Sherine. Alaa's mother wants Jumana executed. Karim asks Sherine to have Shams move in with him and threatens Shams with the photos a newspaper published of her and Aous.

Hayfaa tries to convince Alaa's mother that he killed himself. Shams visits the studio and sees Aous. Jumana wishes that she could be released to find Aous. Shams disappears after she is kicked out of the studio.

Shams takes drugs and is transferred to the hospital in critical condition. Karim and Aous clash. The producer asks Aous to resume filming. Hayfaa asks Rania to return to her house.

Sherine blames Aous for approving Shams's request to act. Alaa's mother threatens the lawyer but he insists on defending Jumana. Rania goes back to the house of Aous's mother.

Aous passes out in the bathroom and Sherine takes him to the hospital. The lawyer asks Jumana about the details of the night Alaa was killed. Dina lets Shams run away. Sherine and Aous look for Shams and find her in the theater.

Hayfaa tells Shady that Jumana is innocent. Aous starts filming the movie. Sherine asks Aous about his history and why he came to Egypt. Shams falls for Aous. Sherine sends Karim money to let Shams stay with her.

Jumana is sentenced to 25 years in prison. Karim tries to placate Dina by promising her a role in his new film. Norma takes golden jewelry from her husband's house. Alaa's mother apologizes to Jumana after she finds a letter from Alaa in which he expresses his plans to kill himself.

Jumana is released. Sherine and Aous start a relationship. Karim forces Dina to comply to his demands. Rania starts working for Hayfaa. Jumana visits Ghada and asks her to divulge the identity of the guy who was with her the night of Alaa's suicide.

When Hayfaa questions Jumana on her statement about someone killing Alaa, Jumana tells her that her neighbor Ghada had someone over and that Alaa thought that he was visiting her instead of Ghada. Aous's mother asks Shady to stay away from Hayfaa.

Aous marries Sherine in secret. Hayfaa asks Shady to help her locate Aous. The producer, Wassim, decides to break the contract with Karim after he discovers that his script is stolen. Karim vows revenge on Sherine whom he thinks incited Wassim against him.

As Jumana celebrates the new year with Ghada, she poisons the cake to take revenge on her. Hayfaa suspects Jumana after Ghada's death. Karim hires thugs to assault Aoud. Alaa's brother is arrested for killing Ghada.

Rania goes to Egypt to visit Aous in the hospital. Shady proposes to Hayfaa but her mother wants him to wait until Aous returns.

Aous wakes up to find Rania by his side. Sherine discovers that Aous is married. Samy beats Norma when she slanders his sister Rania. Sherine passes out in her house.

Sherine doesn't reveal what she found out about Aous. Hayfaa tells Jumana that she wed Shady. Jumana decides to leave the country. Aous tells Sherine that he loves her but she doesn't believe him.

Aous quarrels with Rania and reminds her that he is sterile. Aous is furious when he learns that Hayfaa wed Shady and warns her against the marriage due to her heart condition. Aous decides to divorce Rania.

Rania questions Aous on the reason he left Beirut. As Jumana meets a producer and shows him the script she wrote, he sends it to Aous who discovers that she wrote about the night Alaa killed himself. Sherine is pregnant and Aous discovers that Rania is the one who couldn't have kids

Sherine decides to have an abortion after Aous accuses her of cheating. When Hayfaa is transferred to the hospital in critical condition, her mother dies of grief. Aous learns that Sherine had an abortion and reprimands her for squandering his chance to be a father.

Aous asks to meet Jumana. Dina tells Sherine that Karim wanted to kill her. Jumana tells Aous that the script is based on true events.

Rania returns to Beirut. Sherine asks Karim to divorce Dina and threatens to report him for trying to kill Aous and Dina. Aous breaks down when he learns about his mother's death.

Shady tries to console Hayfaa. Sherine asks for some script amendments but Jumana refuses to comply. Hayfaa asks Jumana to come back and forget about her revenge, but Jumana tells her that she found him. Hayfaa is shocked when she discovers that it's her brother Aous.

Shams kills herself. Hayfaa goes to Cairo to save Aous. Jumana confronts Aous and tells him that she was wrongfully imprisoned and lost her baby because of him. Jumana shoots Aous but he survives and returns to Lebanon.
