Minister Ja'far Al-Barmaki hears the Bedouin Dananir singing while passing through the desert. He asks her to accompany him to Baghdad where she sings in front of the Caliph Harun Al-Rashid, and becomes his favorite singer, but the plots against Ja'far turn Harun against him.
