Saud complains about his wife Siham's neglect of him and his daughter, while Fawaz's children resent their father's miserliness and his constant interest in accumulating money, and elsewhere, the eldest brother, Khaled, keeps his wife at arm's length and does not pay any attention to her.
Dari tells his uncle, Saud, that he wants to marry his fellow student at the university and asks for his help. Saud asks Siham to take care of him and her house. As Fawaz quarrels with Dari, they get arrested by the police.
The police interrogate Dari and Fawaz for destroying a shop. Abu Fawaz (Fawaz's father) treats his son and wife badly and refuses to give them any money.
Abu Fawaz threatens his wife, Munira, with taking another wife. Khaled tells his brother, Youssef, that his wife, Fawzia, lacks a strong personality and does not interfere in his affairs. Faisal gets close to Amal and expresses his admiration for her.
As Khaled tells Amal that he suspects that there is a relationship between his daughter, Sheikha, and a young man, he asks her to investigate the matter. Faisal officially asks for Amal's hand in marriage. Siham quarrels with Saud then leaves the house after neglecting her daughter.
Khaled resents the way his wife treats their teenage daughter, Salma. Youssef agrees to Amal's marriage to Faisal because of his wealth. Munira prevents her daughter from visiting her uncle Khaled's house.
Amal asks Saud to gather information about Faisal to make sure that he enjoys a good reputation. Khaled tries to persuade Fawzia to vote in the women's elections.
Fawzia tells Khaled about Walid's love for his cousin, Noura, and his wish to marry her. Meanwhile, Youssef tells Khaled that Faisal has asked for Amal's hand in marriage. Saud decides to divorce Siham.
As Dari wins the university elections, Fawaz gets upset about his own loss. Saud asks his wife, Siham, to put an end to their disputes, or else he will leave the house.
Khaled asks his brother, Youssef, for his daughter Noura's hand in marriage for Walid. The doctor warns Khaled that Walid may not have children after his marriage due to his illness. Amal and Faisal get married and travel for their honeymoon.
It turns out that Faisal is a drug addict. Saud threatens to divorce Siham if she does not quit her job, after which a tragic accident occurs to their young daughter. Khaled gets robbed and meets the employee Dana at the university.
Faisal convinces Amal to take some narcotic substances. Noura tells her father that she does not want to marry Walid.
Amal quarrels with her husband, Faisal, because of her addiction. Khaled is upset that Noura doesn't want to marry Walid, who suffers psychological shock and is taken to the hospital due to his deep love for Noura.
Noura agrees to marry Walid after he got hospitalized, and her mother quarrels with her and Youssef over this.
Dari insists on marrying his fellow student, while the wedding of Walid and Noura takes place, and Amal continues her drug addiction.
Youssef convinces his son to work with him at the dealership. Sheikha agrees to get engaged to Fawaz despite Dari's refusal. As Faisal grows suspicious of Amal, quarrels break out between them.
Faisal prevents Amal from going out and asks her to resign from her job. Umm Walid (Walid's mother) asks her son not to visit Noura as frequently.
Khaled disagrees with Saud about voting for Abdel Aziz in the elections. Saud asks Siham to have a child once more.
As Fawzia tries to change herself, she joins a health club, surprising her husband Khaled with that, but he does not pay her any attention.
A decision is issued that Khaled be appointed as minister, and everyone rejoices at the news. As Saud goes with Dari to ask for the hand of his fellow student in marriage, he is surprised to learn of her marriage to her cousin.
Fawaz quarrels with his father, whereupon he suffers a health crisis and is taken to the hospital.
Dari supports Fawaz during his father's crisis and illness. Saud takes over the management of Youssef's dealership during his illness. Amal continues her drug addiction with Faisal.
Fawzia suspects that Khaled is married to another woman, so she leaves the house. Saud discovers Youssef's bank balance and tells Khaled he needs that money.
Khaled tells his second wife that he is telling his children about their marriage, upon which his children quarrel with him, then Dari and Sheikha decide to leave the house and live with their mother.
As Khaled takes his new wife to the house, many quarrels occur between him and his children, and he beats his son, Dari, for trying to kick his stepmother out of the house, after which Saud tries to reconcile them.
Amal collapses due to the lack of narcotics that Faisal gives her. Youssef regains his health and demands that his brothers, Saud and Khaled, return the money they took during his illness, and Khaled tells them that he wants to resign from the ministry.
Khaled rejects the idea of Noura's pregnancy for fear of Walid's disease being transmitted to the fetus, while Siham asks the doctor to help her find a solution to her infertility so that Saud does not divorce her, and Walid dies of his illness.
Khaled receives condolences on the death of Walid. As the conditions of Faisal and Amal worsen, she tries to persuade him to seek treatment, after which the police arrest her while she is buying drugs. Saud divorces Siham.
