Mubarak lives with his wife Sarah and his son Ahmed, and Sarah tries to convince him not to spoil their son with too much coddling. She also asks Abdullah to take care of him all the time.

Umm Ahmed (Ahmed's mother) looks for her son, while Mubarak informs the police so that they find him, after which Abu Ahmed (Ahmed's father) travels for work, and no news is heard from him for a while, then the police inform Badr of finding him drowned.

After Badr informs Sarah of Mubarak's death, Badr and Sarah are surprised that Mubarak had owed debts before his death and the creditors demand that they sell their house.

Sarah is forced to sell the house to pay off Mubarak's debts, and Suleiman helps her with that.

Ahmed asks his mother that he leave school and work to help her, then he decides to travel to his uncle Fahd to help him work for him.

Sarah works in sewing clothes to help provide for Ahmed. Jassem drives a wedge between Fahd and Ahmed, causing the latter to be expelled from the shop and accused of theft, whereupon Hend mediates to solve the problem.

Hend asks her father to invite Ahmed to stay in their house after he proved his good intentions. As Ahmed discovers that Jassem has stolen from his uncle, he informs Badr.

Farag and Jassem plan to entrap Ahmed, implicate him, then report him to the police. Badr discovers his sister's work as a seamstress.

Farag and Jassem sneak into Fahd's shop at night and rob the safe, and when Ahmed finds out, he fears that his uncle will accuse him.

Ahmed remains afraid that his uncle Fahd will discover that the safe has been stolen, and he tells Badr about that.

As Fahd discovers that the safe has been stolen, he informs the police, after which he asks Jassem to return to work for him.

As Suleiman tries to save Badr and Ahmed, he enters into a partnership with Badr in his shop and gives him a large amount of money, while Jassem and Farag plan to establish their own business away from Fahd.

As Jassem shows Fahd one of Ahmed's letters to Hend, Fahd gets furious, while Jassem seeks to marry Hend in order to take possession of her father's money.

Jassem and Farag plan to have Fahd give him power of attorney. Ahmed opens his own office after completing his studies.

Ahmed tries to convince his mother to travel and live with him. As Jassem and Farag open their business, Fahd discovers that Jassem has stolen from him.

As Jassem blackmails Fahd to marry his daughter in order to save his reputation, Fahd falls ill and is taken to the hospital. Jassem is surprised that Fahd has stolen all the money and land, whereupon he agrees with the police to set up Farag.
