Dr. Salwa starts her new job at the research laboratory and meets the deputy director, Dr. Mohsen. Samir tries to convince his friend and colleague at the laboratory, Sanaa, to issue a permit to release chemicals to be sold.

Samir takes advantage of employee Ibrahim's love for Sanaa and tries to implicate him in selling the chemicals. Dr. Khairy, the director of the laboratory, returns from abroad. An argument occurs between the latter and Mohsen over the method of work.

Mohsen proposes marriage to Salwa in order to keep her away from working with Khairy. The latter discovers tampering with the use of chemicals in the laboratory. A fire breaks out and Salwa loses her sight. The police investigate the incident.

Police investigations continue into the presence of adulterated chemicals in the laboratory, and Ibrahim discovers that Sanaa and Samir have deceived him.

Khairy marries Salwa and takes her for treatment abroad. She regains her sight, and Mohsen takes over management of the laboratory in Khairy’s absence.

A new accident occurs in the laboratory, and Samir seeks to implicate the office boy, Madbouly, in the accident. Khairy dies inside the laboratory, suffocating with gas, so Salwa decides to take revenge on the perpetrator.

Salwa courts Mohsen to ambush him and tries to suffocate him with gas. Sanaa discovers that Samir has deceived her, so she confesses to the police everything he did, and the police arrest Samir and his aides.
