Ateej, an experienced and capable attorney assistant, wishes to obtain his high school diploma. He resents the office secretary, Taragy, who interferes in everything. As Noura tells him that she wants to file a case against her uncle to lift the guardianship on her, Ateej decides to help her.
As Noura is surprised when her uncle pays a large sum to her, Ateej tells her that her uncle wants to control her and wed her to his son Badr, so he suggests that she marries anyone in order to escape his control. Noura stipulates that Badr must divorce his wife so that she agrees to marry him.
Ateej looks after the daughter of Sherifa who hired the lawyer Ahmed and was imprisoned after losing her case. As Noura's uncle forces her to marry Badr, she escapes on her wedding night. As Abu Badr (Badr's father) accuses Ateej of kidnapping her, Ateej threatens him that he will lose in the elections.
As Ateej is arrested for kidnapping Noura, his family asks the lawyer Ahmed to take over his defense. Ateej tells him that there are four days left until Noura's guardianship ends. When Noura comes forward to the prosecutor, Ateej is released, and her uncle is arrested on charges of filing a false report.
As Ateej meets his cousin, Khamis, he asks for his help to get married before traveling to America; Ateej asks his secretary to find a bride for Khamis. As Ateej tells the people of the neighborhood that Abu Badr is harassing them, he informs Noura that he's running for elections.
As Ateej threatens Abu Badr to run against him in the elections, Abu Badr tries to bargain with him by agreeing to his marriage to Noura in exchange for him backing down on his decision, but Ateej refuses.
As Abu Badr falsely claims that Ateej asked to marry Noura, he begins to sow suspicion in people's minds about him, while he asks lawyer Ahmed to help him. Ahmed asks Abu Badr to marry Noura, who begins to sabotage the elections against Abu Badr in favor of Ateej.
Ateej resigns from working in the office of the lawyer Ahmed. As he tries to prove to the people that he is on their side, Ateej gives them Abu Badr's procuration to Ahmed to file cases of eviction against residents.
Ateej continues his election campaign. In order for Abu Badr to win the elections, he persuades Noura to help him in exchange for giving her all her rights and share of her father's inheritance.
Ateej is surprised when Noura doesn't agree to marry his cousin Faisal. As Abu Badr dies, Ateej thinks that the coast is clear for him in the elections, until the lawyer Ahmed runs opposite him.
Noura tells Ateej that she had to agree to marry Ahmed in order to get all her money from her uncle. As Noura gets married to Khamis, she resents her decision and asks him to divorce her, because she loves someone else.
As Khamis returns from America when Noura insists on getting a divorce from him, he refuses and falsely claims that Ateej took a lot of money from him to marry them, so Noura decides to consummate the marriage after telling Taragy that she loves Ateej.
Taragy proposes to Ateej to marry Khamis off to other women with the procuration that he gave him to officiate the marriage to Noura, in order to force him to divorce her; Ateej marries him to three women. Ahmed files a case on behalf of Khamis against Ateej to terminate the procuration.
Ahmed proposes to Khamis to divorce all his wives so that he won't go to prison. As Khamis succeeds in completing his studies and obtaining a high school diploma, he informs Ahmed that he left the elections for him and withdrew.
As Ateej succeeds in persuading his neighbor Zidane to run in the elections, Zidane wins and Ahmed loses. Ateej marries Noura.
