Maryam grows up in a turbulent family environment, as her father, Jassim, treats her mother, Taiba, inhumanely. She is the only one among her sisters who stands up to her father. She grows up with a hatred for all men. Years later, her father and mother die, and she discovers that her father was married to another woman, and events become intertwined.
