Jassim quarrels with his wife Tayba and beats her, so she insists on leaving the house. It turns out that he pushed her to do this so that he can marry a young girl. Meanwhile, the teacher Jamal is distressed by the recklessness of the student Issam.

Maryam and her mother Tayba are forced to live with Hessa, while Jassim marries Laila. Issam falsely claims that Jamal beat him and hit him with his car.

As Tayba dies, Jassim is saddened by her death, while Jamal and his brother-in-law Tariq try to hide Jassim and Laila's marriage.

Laila quarrels with Jassim and insists on announcing their marriage. Abu Issam (Issam's father) asks Jamal to help his son study, because he flunks every year. As Maryam is shocked when she learns of her father’s marriage, she returns to live in his house in order to take revenge on him and Laila.

Laila is enraged when Maryam tears her clothes, while Jassim tries to reconcile them. Jamal tries to draw the attention of his wife Mona to her inheritance from her mother. Jassim suspects that Hessa and her sisters know the whereabouts of the money that their mother was hiding.

Jassim divorces Laila after a quarrel between them and her fleeing the country with her jewelry, while her brother Nader refuses to tell Jassim where she is.

Jamal tells Abu Issam that his son did not take the exam at school and failed in all the subjects. Jassim suffers a heart attack and is taken to the hospital.

Jamal reconciles Issam and his father, and decides to help Issam find a job so that he can become independent. Maryam is forced to care for her father throughout his illness. Issam robs Jamal’s house.

As Maryam is upset by her father's desire to get back with Laila, she starts her new job. Hessa tells her father, Jassim, that she is unable to have children.

Walid tries to attract Maryam's attention, so he leaves his wallet next to her car. When he meets her, he tells her that he loves her and asks her to marry him.

Mona warns her sister, Maryam, about Walid, and tells her that he is a fraudster who has seized all of her friend Hanan’s money. Walid then threatens to send pictures of Mona with him to her husband, Jamal.

Following Jassim's death, everyone is surprised that he transferred ownership of the house to Laila, who throws them out. Maryam is shocked when Walid leaves her and proposes to Laila.

Walid falsely claims that he is engaged to Laila in order to help Maryam regain her father's house, but Maryam discovers his lie after his marriage to Laila takes place.

Maryam leaves her sister Mona's house after a quarrel between her and Jamal, and Saleh falls in love with Maryam.

Saleh tells his friend Sultan of his love for Maryam and his desire to marry her, and Mona suspects that her husband, Jamal, is cheating on her.

Hessa quarrels with her sister Maryam, and Saleh formally proposes to Maryam.

Maryam insists on marrying Saleh despite her sister Mona’s refusal, and quarrels begin to arise between Maryam and Saleh.

Maryam's friend Samah tries to reconcile Maryam and her sisters Mona and Hessa. Saleh decides to divorce Maryam after confirming that she does not love him, and he gets into a car accident.

As Saleh dies, everyone tries to convince Maryam to adhere to customs and traditions as a widow, but she refuses, and then she discovers that she is pregnant.

As Maryam gives birth, she leaves her baby in the care of Hessa, as the latter does not have children.

Maryam neglects her infant son until he falls ill, while Jamal tries to convince her to marry Salem. Abu Issam asks his son to work with him in his business.

Abu Issam scolds his son for stealing electrical appliances from his showroom, and Issam gets closer to Maryam and she likes him.

Maryam quarrels with Tariq over her relationship with Issam, while she leaves her child with Hessa and does not pay him any attention. Issam tells his father that he wants to marry Maryam.

Maryam and Issam get married despite his father's disapproval of their marriage, and Issam continues to steal appliances from his father's showroom.

Maryam discovers Issam's repeated thefts, and Hessa refuses to help her, giving her a choice between divorcing him or continuing her life with a professional thief.

Maryam chooses to continue her life with Issam and have kids with him, while Issam incites her to take her first son from Hessa.

Issam treats Maryam's son badly, so the latter runs away and returns to Hessa's house, and Maryam gives birth to another child.

Maryam quarrels with Issam for hosting his friends at home, gambling, and drinking alcohol, so he beats her and divorces her.

Maryam is forced to stay at her sister Mona's house. Hessa gets into a car accident and dies. Tariq tries to mend things between Issam and Maryam.

After Maryam marries Issam's friend Rashid, the police arrest the two on charges of drug trafficking, while Maryam finds herself alone with her children.
